Version: 2016-08-187 SITESWITCH 4 SS4 & SS4 AUX Automatic powerswitching SITESWITCH 4 – Powerswitching device for Network UPS – automatic powerswitching at UPS alarms or via Webbrowser Description The SITESWITCH 4 is a remote Powerswitch for UPS devices. Any UPS in the network may automatically switch on/off devices (e.g Laserprinters) to lower the load on a UPS which results in a higher autonomytime while working on battery. In the EVENTS/ALARMS configuration window a multitude of different events can be set as a trigger for a wide range of actions/jobs. The number and types of actions that can be initiated are easily adjusted and configured to suite the specific needs of the authorised system administrator. The SITESWITCH 4 can be ideally used for controlling power distribution to non signal responding devices like locked up computing peripherals. This insures the reservation of power supply to the primary data servers in critical situations. Once the conditions have returned to normal the SITESWITCH 4 can bring the system back online again. The SITESWITCH 4 provides a high level of system security and while being quite rigid in this aspect, it still displays a great amount of flexibility in regards to applications and integration. As graphical front end the user may use any web browser or any of the UPS management software modules UPSMAN, UPSMON, UNMS and USW. Additionally all commands from SNMP third party software are accepted. The SS4 is available with a full qualified CS121 UPS SNMP WEBMANAGER inside so that the UPS may be connected directly through its serial cable. The other option is to use the SS4AUX: This type is connected via a cable to any external CS121 AUX port. Now the CS121 takes over control and switches the outlets. Both SITESWITCH types are coming as desktop units with additional rackmountelements to fit into any 19” rack system. Function Overview  Automatic remote site management through UPS network cards, UPSMAN/RCCMD/UNMS/USW software. Regulation of power distribution and consumption in adjustment to system conditions and alarms.  Remote switching of power outlets of up to 8A current per power socket over 10/100Mbit Ethernet and PPP (optional).  Interface for direct serial connection to over 1400 different UPS from over 70 different manufacturers  Manual or scheduled remote power switching of any AC powered device  Scheduling and configuration of UPS system routines. Use the scheduler to define regular actions (on/off).  Email/Email-2-SMS notification in powerswitching actions or UPS alarms. case  2 types of SS4 : The SS4 has a internal full qualified SNMP Webadapter CS121 for almost any UPS in this world. The SS4AUX is an extension to the CS121 and uses the already existing UPS adapter AUX interface for the configuration.  Built-in Web and WAP Server, MODBUS over IP server, and UPSTCP interface for UNMS usage. Easy to use Web browser interface: simple to configure but extensive, versatile and flexible.  Managable through SNMP, Webbrowser, Telnet, FTP, includes SNTP Timeserver, SMTP Email client, RFC868, DHCP, DNS. Internal logfile for all UPS and switching actions.  Easy to configure delayed startup sequence of the 4 outlets. Reboot sequence for coldboot, automatic restore to last settings at coldboot. of  RCCMD multiple server shutdown of network computers before switching action takes is started.  Certifications: CE, EMC FCC Class A. 2 year full warranty and free updates to latest Firmware.
