Holmatro Compact Test Unit Holmatro now offers a Compact Test Unit (CTU) that enables you to inspect hydraulic cutters, spreaders, combi tools and rams on site. The CTU has been designed to check the equipment’s mechanical strength and leakproofness, both internally and externally. All parts are mobile and easy to assemble in various configurations for testing different rescue tools. With some optional extras you can also use the CTU to test hydraulic rescue equipment according to Holmatro’s own inspection program. This contains the most demanding procedures in the market for checking tool condition, reliability and safety, and for increasing operational life.

Frame The test frame consists of a cylinder with two pressure gauges, mounted on an assembly strip that is connected to two side strips. A second assembly strip is also mounted on the side strips to provide a second fixing point for the tool. The position of the assembly strips on the side strips can be varied in order to match different sizes of rescue tools.
Equipment adapters Various equipment adapters for different tools are included. These can be placed in the opening between the two assembly strips.
High strength transport/storage case High strength transport/storage case for storage of all equipment adapters, the mounting strips and the cylinder with pressure gauges. With layered foam interior, pull handle and wheels. Aluminium ‘biting bar’ included for strength test of cutters.
Protection screens Two protection screens with foldable feet, stackable for use when testing cutters, spreaders and combi tools, or to be used side by side when testing rams. For optimal safety of the operator.

Additional requirements In order to test rescue tools with the Compact Test Unit, you need to use a hydraulic pump and hose(s) in good condition. Both may already be part of your inventory. Holmatro offers a pressure flow meter to test the condition of the pump.
