SERVICE LETTER Citation SL525-36-02 TITLE PNEUMATIC - TAILCONE BLEED AIR CHECK VALVE INSPECTION EFFECTIVITY MODEL SERIAL NUMBERS 525 (CitationJet) -0050, -0079 REASON Unapproved parts may be installed on some airplanes. DESCRIPTION This service letter contains instructions to do an inspection of the left and right 1553-00-18 Check Valves for suspect serial numbers. COMPLIANCE MANDATORY. This service letter must be accomplished within 300 flight hours or one year from the date of receipt, whichever occurs first. Prepare the airplane for maintenance. A. Make sure that the airplane is electrically grounded. B. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position. C. Disconnect electrical power from the airplane. D. (1) Disconnect the airplane battery. (2) Disconnect external electrical power. Attach maintenance warning tags to the battery and external power receptacle that have "DO NOT CONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER - MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS" written on them. 2. Remove access panel 321A. (Refer to the Model 525 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 6, Access Plates and Panels Identification - Description and Operation.) 3. Record the tailcone bleed air check valve serial number. NOTE: The tailcone bleed air check valves are forward and slightly above the forward engine beam. 4. Remove and replace the tailcone bleed air check valve if the serial number is listed in the table that follows: (Refer to the Model 525 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 36, Pneumatic Distribution - Maintenance Practices) Suspect Engine Bleed Air Check Valve Serial Numbers 328 875 338 992 459 1075 500 1187 522 2216 591 3296 5. Install access panel 321A. (Refer to the Model 525 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 6, Access Plates and Panels Identification - Description and Operation.) 6. Remove the maintenance warning tags and connect the airplane battery. 7. Record that this service letter has been completed. A. Complete a Maintenance Transaction Report. B. Put a copy of the completed Maintenance Transaction Report in the airplane logbook. C.
