ADC Automation Hardware Specifications
1GB 1333Mhz non ECC 250GB SATA 3.0GB/s 1U IO Riser Card for X8DTU (PCIe / PCIx Riser Rev 2.0) Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® Server 2008
Client Workstation The following specifications outline the basic recommended workstation options: IMPORTANT: An RS-232 serial port utilizing a 9-pin connector is required for any client computer that will be utilized with an automation hardware control panel.
Comparison Note A typical Client is an HP Compaq 6200 Pro Business PC or an HP Compaq 8200 Elite Business PC.
For customer supplied units, either model or their chassis variants (Microtower – MT, Convertible Minitower – CMT, or Small Form Factor - SFF ) will work.
The 6200 Pro Business PC offers the same Intel Processors and graphics as the 8200, however it is less expandable, and – if expandability is not an issue - a little less costly.
Caution: The Small Form Factor (SFF) chassis is a better fit for a unit that is going to be placed in a rack, but it only has low profile slots, so if any additional cards are to be fitted there may be an issue. This is specifically an issue for the List Redundancy Client where the full height GPI card is installed.
Note: Imagine Communincations- supplied units are the HP Compaq 6200 Pro Business PC in the microtower (MT) chassis.
6200 Compaq Pro Business PC Basic specifications for this ADC workstation client are….
