The SMART Board® 8000i-G5-SMP series interactive flat panels feature SMART’s proprietary DViT® (Digital Vision Touch) technology and combine a premium touch experience with the power of SMART Meeting Pro® software. These interactive flat panels are also available with SMART kapp iQ™ functionality, which provides simple and powerful digital whiteboarding.
Turning on the interactive flat panel The interactive flat panel’s presence detection sensor can detect people up to 16' (5 m) away when the interactive flat panel is in Standby mode. When the sensor detects people, the interactive flat panel turns on. Touching the screen activates the interactive flat panel. The interactive flat panel returns to Standby mode when the sensor doesn’t detect people in the room for a while. Press the Standby button the interactive flat panel.

After you’ve connected computers and other devices to the interactive flat panel, switch between these devices by pressing the Input Select button
on the front control panel.

Participants can contribute to the whiteboard session from their computers or mobile devices. To take advantage of SMART kapp iQ functionality, install the AM30 appliance in the accessory slot located on the back of the interactive flat panel.
