Using dual port I/O cards the unit can be configured for various sizes from 2 outputs to 32 outputs. Ideal for centralising Digital Signage players in a cabinet and distributing their output to the displays around a building Extensive features include RS232 control of the displays through the same CAT5e-8 cable and IR passthrough which together with unique ‘plasma-friendly’ eyes provide a reliable and cost effective control of source devices. The inclusion of dual redundant PSUs makes the unit ideal for mission critical applications and the modular construction allows for the system to be installed and then upgraded at any time without needing to purchase a whole new solution. The following illustration shows an example of a unit configures with the full 32 outputs and dual PSUs. Dual CAT output module Each dual CAT output module has the ability for a single CAT5e-8 cable to connect to a receiver unit (SDS-RX900 series) and provide HDMI transmission up to 100m using HDbaseT technology. HDMI module Each input connection is a standard HDMI female connection for allow you to easily connect your source, and provides a secure connection via the screwlocks. A 3.5mm jack socket is also present to provide an IR & RS232 reverse path from the display end, this can be enabled by connecting a suitable IR LED (SM-LED). The RS232 is bidirectional allowing to send a receive commands from the receiver. The receivers converts the Cat 5e-8 signals back to HDMI, IR and RS232. Remote power is provided by the matrix so no bulky external PSU is required. The SDS-RX900 has holes conveniently placed on 2 adjacent sides allowing you to fix the receiver down wherever you need.
