FLARE 2-WAYS OPTICAL FIBER WIDEBAND SYSTEM FLARE AS OPTICAL EXTENDER TERRESTRIAL LNB HVHV OPTICAL FIBER COAXIAL FLARE is a bi-directional solution made up of 2-wavelength optical transmitter and receiver, capable of guaranteeing various installation options. The bandwidth ranges from 100 to 2.150 MHz and is suitable for both satellite and terrestrial signals. FLARE has been designed to manage also the SCR protocol. FLARE is such an effective system that it can virtually distribute the satellite and terrestrial signal to an endless number of user sockets. It is, therefore, suitable for household installations and holiday resorts to distribute both satellite and terrestrial signals to all end users. It has a high flexibility: the price-performance ratio makes it convenient for small/medium size installations (a few user sockets) as well as for big size installations. The basic configuration comprises a transmitter module (Head Unit) and a receiver module (Node Unit). It is possible to purchase separately further receiver modules to enlarge the distribution system. Up to 16 receivers can be connected to the transmitter unit through optical splitters. The ability to manage the SCR and DISEqC codes makes it particularly flexible, this translates into the possibility of being used in various installation solutions. It is a new product on the market, it hasn’t been realised by others before. FLARE is an idea of RITAR, which has taken care of its development, engineering and manufacturing; everything done in Italy. It is 100% Italian. FLARE has been designed to be able to work on two different wavelengths: 1.310 and 1.550 nm and, therefore, it is able to distribute the frequency range from 100 to 2.150 MHz as well as transmitting and receiving the SCR and DISEqC codes, which give the installers the possibility to plan mixed and complex solutions. In this way it is possible to send the DISEqC control signals from the decoder to the satellite dish on the same optical fiber used to transport the first IF Sat signals. The further possibility to work on two different wavelengths allows it to distribute the 4 Sat ranges (high and low in two polarities) wherever it is needed within the distribution network. Thanks to the optical fiber link, it is possible to install the receiving antennae at a distance ranging from several hundreds of metres to kilometres from the user sockets.
