The purpose is to ensure that customers are provided with the correct equipment for their needs, that it is installed, commissioned and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions by a competent person approved at the time by the Health and Safety Executive and that it meets the requirements of the appropriate Building Regulations. The Benchmark Checklist can be used to demonstrate compliance with Building Regulations and should be provided to the customer for future reference. Installers are required to carry out installation, commissioning and servicing work in accordance with the Benchmark Code of Practice which is available from the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council who manage and promote the Scheme. Visit www.central heating.co.uk for more information. 2 1 Important Information The Smart Wiring Centre is a wall mounted state-of-theart eBUS system component which has been designed in accordance with recognised safety regulations. It allows the “Climapro or Climapro RF” to communicate with the traditional 230V zone valves and DHW storage cylinder. Information about the heat required by the cylinder is communicated to the heating appliance. The heating appliance (boiler) then decides whether a hot water request has to be fulfilled and sends a signal to position the 230V zone valves. Any other use is considered to be improper use and the manufacturer/supplier are not liable for any resulting damage. The following components can be connected: 230V 3-port mid-position valve or alternatively 2 x 230 V 2-port zone valves NOTES: 1. Systems requiring more zone valves or a combination of 3-port and 2-port valves are not possible. 2. The Smart Wiring Centre requires a 230V supply. 3. The heating appliance (boiler) also requires a 230V supply. 4. The eBUS wiring will not provide 230V from one device to the other! ● Please read these instructions in conjunction with the instructions supplied with your boiler. ● You MUST conform to all specified safety standards and regulations within the instructions. ● Follow the instructions carefully for the safe installation of this kit. ● This kit MUST be installed by a competent person and unless stated all parts are replaced in reverse order to removal.
