Early warning, environmental monitoring for equipment cabinets, server rooms and other environmentally sensitive areas. Environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, airflow, audio alarms as well as an integrated camera are all accessed and updated through a web browser. Optional equipment monitoring, via custom SNMP agents, periodically checks/updates equipment operating conditions. An integrated camera tracks individuals accessing racks and rooms.

SMRTnet TM • Provides early warning detection based on environmental changes that can be caused by overheating equipment, airflow obstructions, audio alarms or human contact.
• Allows NOC and customer to monitor network equipment status for up to 16 connected network devices by using optional Device Crawlerz software.
• Monitors variations in temperature, humidity, noise, and air movement in a single compartment and tracks, via a video camera, anyone entering the compartment or room.
The SMRTnetTM solution contains three systems:
• Notifies designated personnel through defined alarms sent via email. • Enables NOC technician and customer to access status of cabinet or room at any time via supported web browser interface. • Contains a specialized internal sensor system and can monitor multiple Ethernet connected devices via SNMP.
The sensor section which digitizes the analog sensor signals. An internal camera which continually captures freeze-frame black and white images. These images are e-mailed each time the cabinet door is opened. Images are updated as the web page is refreshed. Images can also be archived on disk. A self-contained web server which can be accessed through the internet via an Ethernet connection.
SMRTnet TM Specifications • Temperature-Range: 2ºC to 50ºC (35ºF to 120ºF), Sensor: solid state. Accuracy: +/-3.6ºF.
• Connectors - Ethernet: RJ-45 to Cat 5 network wiring, Serial:DB-9, nine pin, female. Power: 5mm barrel jack for 5 vdc power. Contact sense: 2.1mm barrel jack female.
• Relative Humidity-Range:10% to 90%, Sensor: porous ceramic, solid state. Accuracy: +/- 10%.
• Data Speed - Ethernet: 10Mbps.
• Air Flow - Rate: 0-400 FPM displays as 0-10 increments.
• Protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP, POP, DHCP, DNS.
• Audio: Built-in acoustic sensor detects standard audio. Sensor: electrostatic microphone.
• Web Pages - Supports Netscape Communicator 4.7 or later, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later.
• Contact Sensing-State: contacts open or closed, current/pull-down resistor. (Magnetic door sensor supplied.)
