SNMP Managed Media Converters Chassis System and Cards
This family of very easy-to-install Ethernet managed media converters in a 19” chassis system are ideal for telecom and corporate applications where a number of fibre links need to be managed and controlled from a central location. These high quality managed units extend 10M, 100M and Gigabit LAN circuits over singlemode and multimode fibre links for secure, realtime network systems. This professional grade, managed Features:media converter chassis solution • Chassis supports up to 16 hotenables LAN workgroups and swappable media converter units network users to be connected by a fibre path to remote switches, routers • Fully manageable through a Web and servers etc. browser, Telnet, SNMP or Link defects and other circuit problems are promptly reported to enable the network manager to manage and control the network to a much higher level than using basic un-managed media converters. The distant end optical devices can be any 100Base-FX or Gigabit media converter or LAN switch/router port. Meeting all the relevant industry standards for 10Mbit/s, 100Mbit/s and Gigabit Ethernet, installation is ‘plugand-play’ and requires no technical knowledge. The hot-swappable media converters support ST, MT-RJ and SC single and multimode fibre formats. With support for dual-redundant and hot-swappable AC and DC power packs, this chassis system delivers a very robust solution for critical applications.
