Safety Switching Devices Emergency-Stop Relay Expansion Unit According to EN 60204 - 1 and EN 954 - 1 SNO 3001 Single or Dual Channel E-Stop Circuit 4 Enabling Current Paths, 1 NC Control Contact, 1 Feedback Circuit 1 SNO 3001-xx EN 60204 --1 EN 954 --1 For Stop Category Safety Category * * *) see notes 1 For Example u Multiplying the enabling current paths of the basic unit u Contact reinforcement in safety oriented equipment u Safety switching relay X1 A1 13 23 33 43 51 X1 13 23 33 43 51 A1 SCHLEICHER Function SNO 3001 Y12 After the supply voltage is applied to terminals A1/A2, and after being activated through an enabling current path of the basic unit, the relays K1 and K2 switch into their operating position. After this switch-on phase, the four enabling current paths 13/14, 23/24, 33/34, and 43/44 are closed, the normally closed contact 51/52 and the feedback contact X1/X2 are opened. K1 Y13 K2 K1 + SUPPLY Y12 K2 Y13 Y11 Y12 Y13 Y11 X2 14 24 34 44 52 A2 X2 14 24 34 44 52 A2 Function Diagram If the enabling current paths of the basic unit are opened by actuation of the E-Stop switch, then relays K1 and K2 of the SNO 3001-xx switch back to their de-energized position. The enabling current paths open the normally-closed contact and the feedback contact close. The feedback contact X1/X2 prevents the basic unit from switching on again if K1 or K2 do not drop out. FD 0121 W1 Notes u The expansion relay is triggered by one or two of the basic unit's SNO 3001-xx enabling current paths, depending on the required degree of safety. A1/A2 Supply Voltage, LED SUPPLY u The SNO 3001-xx can be combined with all safety control devices (basic units). X1, X2 Feedback contact 13/14, 23/24, 33/34, 43/44 LED K1, LED K2 depends on the corresponding category of the basic unit (the category of the expansion unit can be at most that of the basic unit). 51/52 tA tA = Response time tR = Release time tR Connection Diagram u The stop and safety category which the SNO 3001-xx achieves always Please take note of the information provided by your Professional Association!
