Sofia Backstage® HbbTV Server is ideal for any kind of development and research purpose, testing or trialing - all the way to regular production service operation. The HbbTV Server is based on the award-winning Sofia Backstage® software with over 10 years of development history. It is designed to create and manage TV services, applications and transmission in all DVB delivery systems. IP, RF and DVB-ASI interfaces are supported and system can connect to any 3rd party DVB-components such as encoders, multiplexers and modulators. It is also possible to plug in the HbbTV server directly into the HbbTV receiver tuner without any additional equipment. The system has Web-based management interface that may host multiple virtual servers and services in one logical user interface. All main controls of the system are accessible with standard Web-Browser compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux PCs and tablets.

Services hosted with Sofia Backstage® can be stored into the application library and set to start and stop using builtin calendar based scheduler.
