Software Manual Section 1 From CD copy the software to the Micro SD card of device Method 1: The Micro SD card install in the card reader. Plug the card reader into computer, Copy this file to the Micro SD card’s root directory from CD disk. Method 2: Step1: Install the Micro SD card to the device; Put the power switch to “OFF” position to power off the device. Step2: Connect the device with computer via a standard USB cable. Step3: 1:Press and hold “SET” key 2:Turn the power switch to “ON” position. Keep pressing “SET” key until the device indicator constantly light red turn to green. After 1-3 seconds the computer will notify “found new hardware”, which means that the device has been working on USB mode. file to the Micro SD card’s root directory from Step4: Copy this CD. Section 2 Parameter setting Note:  Ensure the device is working on USB mode. (See “Section 1,Method 2”) Double-click to enter setting interface, as shown below: 1 1) Resolution: VGA and QVGA. The video quality of VGA is better than AVGA. But for the storage space, the VGA video size is bigger than QVGA. 2) Frame Rate: it means the frames of each second the device records. The more frames the smoother the video. The default frame rate is 15 fps. 3) Record Time: it means the recording time once device is triggered by PIR. The default recording time is 30 seconds. Enable indicator light If you close the indicator, the indicator will not light on when the device is triggered to video. The default is opening the indicator. Enable timestamp When you want the video to show the recording time, then you can choose this item, if not, you can cancel this item. The default is no time stamp. Enable description make If you want to make some explanation or description for the video, you can choose this note, if not, you don’t choose. The default is no recording note. If the recording note is chosen, and input the description, the device removable disk will come up with a WM.BIN file, this file can’t be deleted. Otherwise, the description will be disappeared. 2 For Example As shown, indicating that the Office, in the video playback screen is displayed when the words Office. 4) Date Time: System date time synchronous to the device. Note:  If you disconnect the power and remove the battery, the device will be lost time, the time required to the reset the device.  The equipment is disconnected or foreign power, etc, longer battery-power. Resulting in low device battery will cause the system to the time lost and need to reset the device time. 5) Version: The device software version is YN-13-3. The device removable disk will come up with a VER.BIN file, this file can’t be deleted. Otherwise, the description will be disappeared. 6) Click the OK button, pop-up message dialog box as shown below automatically keep the current setting in the device’s root directory to generate a parameter file CONFIG.BIN, the software automatically exit, suggesting that: 7) The device parameter set is complete, exit USB mode, and within 20 seconds of power switch ”OFF” position, and then dial to “ON” position, enables the device to restart. After the device turned on under the new parameters will be automatically run, and delete preferences file “CONFIG.BIN”. If the next time USB mode “CONFIG.BIN” document also exists in the Micro SD card, repeat the above process. 3
