Full design changes for HAKKO 936 High-performance soldering iron pursuing "usability" and "appearance" has evolved into more than a mere working tool. Temperature controller achieves 3 factors such as "space saving", "good maintainability" and "good safety and stability" ·Footprint was reduced by approx. 50% compared to that of conventional HAKKO 936. ·Use of special driver (resin) for thermal correction during daily inspection maintains durability. ·The temperature control knob can be locked to prevent the setting temperature from changing during the work. How to lock the temperature control knob
Soldering iron provides 30% increase in workability compared to that of conventional HAKKO 936.
·Improved thermal conductivity enables the same work to be performed in a shorter time. (Refer to the workability comparison graph.) ·The rise time is 20 seconds faster and drop in tip temperature during work is reduced. (Refer to the thermal characteristics graph.)

Thermal characteristics graph
The internal structure and tip shape were reviewed to provide better thermal conductivity and better thermal efficiency. As a result, the time for performing the same work was greatly shortened.
It was demonstrated that the rise time is approx. 20 seconds faster, and the drop in tip temperature during continuous work is reduced.
·Employment of separated-heater tip achieves low running cost. ·Making the element cover thinner enables better viewing during work and easier working even on a P.W.B. with highly dense components. Iron holder provides 3 cleaning methods and low-noise effect ·Sound and vibration generated when placing the iron into the iron holder were reduced by 30%. ·Three types of cleaning methods are available in one iron holder using a cleaning sponge, cleaning wire and rubber cleaner. ·The detachable waste holder at the bottom of iron holder offers an easy way to dispose of the waste. ·
Ultra-compact size with consideration of environment and ease of use Space-saving design leaves working area large even in a cell-production site. * The conventional product shown in the photo is HAKKO 936.
HAKKO FX-8802 N2 (nitrogen) gas system
A space-saving N2 system. Anti-oxidation and pre-heating significantly improve solderability.
—Example Configuration (N2 System)
Soldering station, Iron holder, N2 gas generator, and N2 flowmeter must be purchased separately.
HAKKO FX-8803 One-hand, manual-solder-feed iron — Example Configuration (One-hand, Manual-Solder-Feed System)
Soldering station and Iron holder must be purchased separately.
HAKKO FX-8804 Hot tweezers —Example Configuration (Hot Tweezer System)
Soldering station, cap, and Iron holder must be purchased separately.
Tips for using HAKKO FX-888. 1. How to remove the bottom plate.
1. Press the slide lock button inward. Note Press it firmly from upward. It is easy to open by the slide lock sloping inward.
2. Open the iron holder base while pressing the slide lock.
3. Remove the solder waste in the bottom plate.
2. How to lock the temperature control knob
The temperature control knob can be locked to prevent the setting temperature from changing during the work. In case of locking it, please insert the hexagon wrench into the lower hole and tighten the hexagon screw in the hole counterclockwise. As for unlocking, don't touch the upper hole. Adjust by the upper hole makes the control knob loosen.
T18 Series Shape BC/C This type has a shape like a cone or column cut at a slant, which allows users to select the cut surface size depending on the workpiece. It is used for drag soldering and pre-tinning of lead wires.
