Soundranger (Mipro) lightweight headset microphone MU-53HN Connevans part. 40SFXM53HN For use with the RMT-103H belt-pack transmitter Connevans part. 40SFXMT4 Flexible neck band Flexible ear hooks Cable clips Foam windshield Boom swivel clamp Boom arm Microphone capsule Remove the headset from the carrying case and bend the flexible ear hooks upwards and outwards as shown above. Wear the headset with the neck band around the back of your head (not over the top of your head) and the ear hooks around the back of your ears. As shown above, the boom arm should now be on the right hand side of your head. To move the boom arm to the left hand side, simply unclip it from the boom swivel clamp and snap it into the left hand side boom swivel clamp. Adjust the boom arm by sliding it in or out and rotating it so that the microphone capsule is 20-30 mm in front of your mouth and to one side. Best results are obtained if you bend the flexible end of the boom arm inwards, so that the microphone capsule is pointing at your mouth. You can use the cable clips to keep the microphone cable out of your way at the back of your neck. The foam windshield should be in place over the microphone capsule to reduce unwanted breath noise. If you have a strong voice and accentuated plosive consonants ("P" and similar sounds) it may help to move the microphone capsule to a position below the front of your mouth in order to avoid "popping" sounds. You can do this by swinging the boom arm slightly downwards from the boom swivel clamp. Plug the 4-pin connector into the input socket of the belt-pack transmitter and tighten the clamping ring to make a good contact. You can clip the belt-pack to your clothing or put it in your pocket. Do not shout, but speak normally into the microphone capsule.
