MAN PORTABLE POWER SYSTEM The ultimate mobile power solution, harnessing the sun as an unlimited energy source. Over 7,132 man portable power systems delivered to DoD on SPACES Program of Record through May 2015. The Man Portable Power System is an innovative family of mobile solar power and power distribution products. It delivers portable power to charge batteries, operate communications equipment and run small electronic accessories in tactical and remote environments. The power module (Iris PN 78535-103301) receives power from one or more flexible solar panels (Iris PN 78535-102049), various rigid panels (Sanyo 220 W), BB-XX90 and zinc-air batteries, fuel cells or commercial and NATO vehicles. It allows the user to charge multiple BB-XX90 style batteries and 12/24 V lead-acid batteries, and distributes power to operate tactical equipment. Additional components are available to expand the uses of the system.

Field Proven Iris Technology’s Man Portable Power System has been deployed and successfully used throughout the world, including Afghanistan and Iraq, primarily by the United States Marine Corps.
Mobile, Lightweight, and Rugged The power module weighs only 2.6 pounds and has a footprint of 8 x 8 x 1.6 inches. The self-contained kit comes in a hard, waterproof case with foam inserts. This plug-and-play system can be set up and ready for use in less than a minute.
Versatile Power – Combat Ready The power system converts solar and tactical power sources to support combat operations and 12/24 VDC commercial accessories. It supports mixed battery chemistries and mixed state-of-charge with up to 600W output.
Power Anywhere The power module charging 24 V lead-acid battery array using power from Sanyo 220W rigid solar panels.
