FIBER MANAGEMENT MANAGEMENT R&M USA, Inc. RDF RDI-3U Rack Mount Panel Factory terminated with up to a 1000’ pigtail or cable assembly The RDI-3U patch panel represents a new approach to providing rapid and low cost installations as part of new or existing network infrastructures. Designed by R&M USA, Inc. with input from contractors, data centers, wireless carriers, and telecommunications providers, the solution is engineered and designed specifically for this installation type. By eliminating the time needed to splice at one location, projects can be completed rapidly and for a lower total cost. The basis of the design is the R&M RDI-3U patch panel, which is factory terminated at R&M USA, Inc. with up to a 1000’ pigtail or cable assembly. The RDI-3U has a maximum capacity of 288 fibers with LC connectors or 144 fibers with SC connectors, and can be supplied with ribbon, tight buffered, or loose-tube cable in a variety of jacket options. The unique aspect is how the panel and pigtail are packaged and deployed, allowing for rapid installation while avoiding the pitfalls of traditional pre-connectorized panels. The package consists of a scalable pre-stubbed termination housing, a rack mountable receiver chassis, and a custom designed wood reel that stores everything neatly and securely in the center of the drum.
RDI 3RU Patch Panel comes pre-installed with your choice of ribbon, OSP Loose-Tube, or Indoor Tight Buffered cable.
The RDI-3U Patch Panel comes with R&M RCG SPLCRT V2 Splice Cartridges Each 24 fiber subunit is terminated in R&M’s unique splice cartridge, which allows the individual connector to be removed, cleaned or repaired while the panel is in service. The panel does not need to be opened up to accomplish this maintenance, like other traditional fiber management platforms. The RDI 3RU Patch Panel features a scalable prestubbed termination housing with a rack mountable receiver chassis. RDI 3U Panel Design allows for field service and repair. Access is available to breakout box, splice point, and back of connectors within R&M Splice Cartridges.

Solution is specifically designed for high fiber count pre-terminated installations. Specially designed rack mount panel, breakout box, cable reel with interior packaging, and crate make pre-terminated splice solutions easier than previously thought possible Up to 288 Fiber LC or 144 Fiber SC with all standard cable and fiber types, including ribbon, OSP LooseTube, and Indoor Tight Buffered. Length of pigtail or connectorized cable is determined by cable thickness RDI 3U Panel Design optimized for field service and repair. Access is available to breakout box, splice point and back of connectors within R&M Splice Cartridges. Multiple service loops provided within each location Each port is OTDR tested and cleaned before shipment and OTDR Test Results are available 34” D X 22.5” W reel allows easy entry through standard office doors. Packaging of panel within reel allows for standard cable stands to be used which prevent twisting of cable upon deployment and requires less room needed for deploying cables Wall-Mounting provisions for rapidly changing project deployments allow for partial installation before rack systems are in place Engineered package and shipment crate help protect reels during shipment and allow for convenient, stackable storage Matching holes at top and bottom of panels allow for increased fiber counts and utilization Standard shuttered adapters help protect against laser light and dust contamination Breakout Box allows for orderly and stress-free subunit deployment and fiber repair CALL FOR ADDITIONAL PARTS/ACCESSORIES
