The Avantgarde Ultra tweeter works like no other tweeter. A accordion-like membrane pulsates much more accurately than a dome-shaped membrane, resulting in hitherto unknown levels of speed and precision and a response beyond 50 kHz.

The Si 6 SE-series is equipped with tri-wiring terminals because this arrangement gives optimum performance with respect to dynamics and inner detail. Tri-wiring also means that the Si 6 SE is prepared for active use with the AVEX, equipped with purpose designed target function crossover boards. Running the Si 6 SE-series in active mode, improves sound quality dramatically and enhances the immediacy and liveliness of any programme material.

AIC - Audiovector Interface Control. This technology matches the drivers perfectly to the cabinet and results in cleaner and more agile sound.
The hand-built Avantgarde treble driver has a membrane which is seven times larger than that of our famous Evotech T 2004 driver. Distortion is much lower and the frequency response goes beyond 50 kHz, which makes it ideal for SACD and DVDAudio. The sound is crystal clear.
NCS - Natural Crystal Structure. This technology realigns the molecules within the copper back to their original positions. The result is lower resistance that provides a more natural sound.
The ”drop-like” form of the Si 6 is the optimum shape if you want to avoid distortion from standing waves. The result: A more neutral and accurate sound.
Precision milled chrome plated 8 mm spikes enhance the sound quality of the Si 6 dramatically. Available with floor protection discs.

This is directly connected to the fact that the Si 6 SE is extremely inert and free of resonances.
