SPECIFICATION A Williams Sound ADA Compliance FOR LOCATIONS CURRENTLY HAVING AN INSTALLED SOUND SYSTEM 2.03 PRODUCTS: The following is to be used as a GUIDE, and are to be included, but not limited to, in the system(s) to be supplied. 1. Williams Sound PPA T35 Stationary Transmitter (Antenna - as required). a. The UL, CSA listed stationary FM transmitter shall be capable of broadcasting up to1000 ft (dependent upon antenna selection) on each wide and narrow band channel, 77 Narrow band channels, selectable, and 17 Wideband channels, selectable. The transmitter shall have a 74dB or greater S/N ratio. b. The output power shall turn off the RF signal after a maximum period of one hour if no audio is present. The device shall be capable of broadcast on both wide and narrow band channels. The device shall have an audio frequency response of 22-16kHz ± 3dB (adjustable). c. The stationary transmitting device shall have the combination audio input, 3-pin XLR and ¼” TRS. The device shall have the following audio controls: push button audio level controls, adjustable 0- 50dB, an LCD screen with a push button selection for Bandwidth, Frequency, Audio Input Source (Microphone, High Pass Filter, Low Pass filter), Compressor Slope, Compressor Gain and RF Output Power and include balanced or unbalanced input levels showing a Nominal LED and a Maximum Input Overload LED. d. The transmitter shall have a lock out capability to prevent tampering with design specification settings and be supplied with a wall mount class II transformer, an Antenna ANT 025 and be capable of being rack mountable. 2. Williams Sound PPA T36 Body Pack Transmitter a. The PPA T36 is a wide band body-pack transmitter and shall operate on 16 selectable channels between 72MHz and 76MHz. b. It shall operate for up to 30 hours with two AA batteries and shall be housed in a black colored PC/ABS plastic enclosure. c. The PPA T36 shall have a 3.5 mm microphone jack and a 2.5 mm auxiliary audio input jack. d. The PPA T36 shall have access to channel select, compression on/off, channel lock, and master gain inside the battery compartment. There shall be a power switch which also serves as a microphone mute control when flashing RED on the top bezel of the transmitter. e. The PPA T36 shall have wide band modulation at 75kHz peak with a frequency response 200Hz to 16kHz. The transmitting antenna shall be integrated into the 39 inch microphone cable. f. The PPA T36 shall be covered under a five year parts and labor warranty. This transmitter shall be the Williams Sound PPA T36 SPECIFICATION A • 4/23/2012 specification A 3. PPA R37 SELECT CHANNEL BODY PACK RECEIVER a. The PPA R37 Receiver shall be encased in a black PC/ABS impact resistant plastic with a hinged door for battery installation. b. The receiver shall include an easy-to-use seek-button channel selection with access to 17 pre-set wideband frequencies between 72-76MHz. These channels are Digitally Synthesized for greater audio clarity and stability. c. The receiver must have the capability of a Channel-Lock and a battery-saving Sleep-Mode d. The receiver shall be a body-pack type and include a detachable belt-clip for hands-free operation. e. The receiver shall have a 3.5 mm mono phone jack and able to accommodate low-impedance mono earphones, headphones, neckloops to utilize telecoil couplers f. The receiver shall have a combination volume control and power on/off rotator dial, and a green LED power “on” indicator. The LED power “on” indicator shall flash to indicate low battery power. g. There shall be a slide selection switch located through the battery door for choosing Alkaline or NiMH battery operation. h. There shall be drop-in charger contacts on the bottom of the receiver unit. i. The receiver shall operate up to 50 hrs when using 1.5 V AA Alkaline batteries and shall operate up to 32 hrs when using 1.5 v NiMH rechargeable AA batteries. j. The receiver receives FM signals in the 72-76MHZ audio assistance band with 75uS de-emphasis. The receiver shall provide a maximum output of 35mW at 16 Ohms with an earbud type earphone. k. The system’s electrical frequency response shall be 10Hz to 15kHz, +/- 3dB and the S/N ratio shall be 65dB at 10uV. The receiver shall have a sensitivity of 2uV at 12dB Sinad. l. The receiver shall have FCC, Industry Canada approvals and be compliant with RoHS and WEEE regulations. m. The receiver shall be covered by a five year parts and labor warranty, excluding headphones, batteries and chargers. n. The receiver model shall be the Williams Sound model PPA R37. 4. PPA R35 – 8N EIGHT CHANNEL BODY PACK RECEIVER a. The PPA R35-8N Eight Channel Receiver shall be encased in a black PC/ABS impact resistant plastic with a hinged door for battery installation. b. The receiver shall be a body-pack type and include a detachable belt-clip for hands-free operation. c. The receiver shall have a 3.5 mm mono phone jack and able to accommodate low-impedance mono earphones, headphones, neckloops to utilize telecoil couplers. d. The receiver shall have a combination volume control and power on/off rotator dial, and a red LED power “on” indicator. The LED power “on” indicator shall flash to indicate low battery power. e. The receiver shall operate up to 50 hrs when using 1.5 V AA Alkaline batteries and shall operate up to 35 hrs when using 1.5 v NiMH rechargeable AA batteries. i. The receiver receives FM signals in the 72-76MHZ audio assistance band with 75uS de-emphasis. The receiver shall provide a maximum output of 35mW at 16 Ohms with an earbud type earphone. j. The system’s electrical frequency response shall be 40Hz to 15kHz, +/- 3dB and the S/N ratio shall be 60dB at 100uV. The receiver shall have a sensitivity of 2uV at 12dB Sinad. k. The receiver shall have FCC, Industry Canada approvals and be compliant with RoHS and WEEE regulations. l. The receiver shall be covered by a five year parts and labor warranty, excluding headphones, batteries and chargers. m. The receiver model shall be the Williams Sound model PPA R35 – 8N. SPECIFICATION A • 4/23/2012 specification A 5. Williams Sound PPA 1600 Remote Receiver a. The Williams Sound PPA R1600 shall be a powered speaker and have a sixteen channel wideband 7276MHz receiver that can be accessed on the back of the unit. It shall be housed in a black heavy duty plastic enclosure 12.4” x 7.09” x 5.6” and weigh approximately 9 lbs. The R1600 shall have a 20 Watt amplifier and two way speaker system with a 5.25” magnetically shielded woofer and a 1” dome tweeter. The R1600 shall have an RCA line input, RCA line output and 1/4” low impedance microphone input. It shall have separate microphone and line in level adjust and have a master tone and volume rotary adjust. The receiver sled shall have a 75 Ohm antenna output, on/off audio level rotary adjust, RF rotary squelch adjust and sixteen position rotary channel selector. The R1600 shall be supplied with a 39 inch telescopic antenna. The R1600 shall be supplied with a wall mount bracket and have the ability to be mounted on a microphone stand (not supplied). It shall be AC powered and have 230 - 115VAC switch on the back and be UL, C-UL, FCC, RoHS, and WEEE compliant. b. The R1600 shall have a two year warranty parts and labor. 6. Williams Sound SLD 072 a. The SLD 072 receiver sled shall be a sixteen channel wide band 72-76MHz receiver designed specifically to work with the PPA R1600 powered speaker/receiver. It shall be enclosed in a metal housing 5” x 5” x 1” and weigh 0.62 lb. It shall have a sixteen channel rotary channel select, rotary on/off audio level control, rotary squelch control, a 75 Ohm F-connect antenna output and an RF LED indicator showing when the receiver is receiving an FM signal. The SLD 072 is designed to slide into the back of the PPA R1600 and shall be locked in place by two thumb screws on the face plate. The SLD 072 shall have a deviation of ±75kHz, frequency response 40Hz - 15kHz and S/N ratio of 60dB when used with the PPA T35. The SLD 072 shall be FCC, RoHS and WEEE compliant.
