The powerful, versatile DX190W-5 provides easy, quick point-to-point travel to nearby jobsites. The high ground clearance and easy maneuverability greatly improves productivity when the job demands road travel or frequent movement. You won’t sacrifice digging performance either. When the outriggers are down, digging performance is comparable to a machine with tracks.

WORK GROUP: The durable and powerful standard boom and arm configuration is ready to tackle a wide range of tasks. Equip an optional articulated variable-angle boom to work closer to the machine and attain a more compact travel position when retracted.
SIMPLE CONTROLS: Includes ergonomic, proportional joystick control levers; steering wheel; and foot-pedals. The easy-to-read, color LCD monitor provides real-time information to the operator.

OPERATOR EFFICIENCY:
The spacious ROPS/FOPS cab is equipped with heating and air conditioning, adjustable airflow and five operating modes. Low noise levels ensure a productive and comfortable cab environment for the operator. A reclining, height- and weight-adjustable air suspension seat (with headrest, adjustable armrest and seatbelt) offers excellent lumbar support. The pressurized cab keeps the operator environment cleaner, too.
An easy-to-read LCD panel is within easy view for monitoring critical machine data, such as coolant temperature, fluid levels, warnings and the rear camera display. Selectable power modes and work modes, plus preset hydraulic attachment management (via the LCD screen), allow operators to match performance to the job requirements.

Major pin points on the boom and arm are cast to provide extra strength. Reinforced bosses and internal gussets ensure a long work group life. Ultra-hard wear-resistant plates at the end of the arm extend service intervals for your bucket pin-up point. Large, robust boom and arm cylinders ensure smooth, powerful operation.
Selectable power modes give you more control over your excavator’s performance for different job demands and working conditions: • Power+ for fast work group speeds • Power for increased performance • Standard for an optimal balance of power and economy • Economy for reduced fuel consumption
VISIBILITY:
SMART POWER CONTROL (SPC):
Large windows and narrow corner pillars provide excellent sightlines to the work group. An overhead window enhances visibility when loading trucks or working overhead. The rearview camera provides additional means to view the machine’s surroundings, allowing for increased productivity.
SPC consists of two systems that work together to improve efficiency and productivity while in the digging work mode and in any of the four power modes. Variable Speed Control reduces the energy used to perform a task, improving fuel efficiency by up to 5 percent. Pump Torque Control matches hydraulic pump torque and engine response to the task, preventing engine overload.
ARM AND BUCKET FORCE: Superior hydraulics deliver ample power to the arm and bucket for digging, loading trucks and more. A one-touch power boost momentarily amplifies hydraulic power for use in difficult digging conditions that slow other machines down.
UNDERCARRIAGE DESIGN: The modular frame design allows you to configure the machine’s undercarriage in two combinations to ensure the right combination of stability, versatility and performance for your specific applications. Outriggers can be individually positioned to level the machine. The front dozer blade provides backfilling ability as well.
LIFTING CAPACITY: Lift more weight with each cycle. Complete the job faster. Designed and tested for maximum lifting capability, plus optimal swing radius, lift height and tilt position. You can dig, or lift and place, with greater productivity.
ATTACHMENT READINESS: Improve your versatility with standard pin-on attachments, or choose an optional hydraulic, power tilting or wedge lock quick coupler to rapidly switch between a variety of jobmatched attachments. Boost your utilization with breakers, clamps, plate compactors and a wide variety of bucket types and sizes.
SIMPLIFIED MAINTENANCE: TIER 4 COMPLIANT: Achieved with cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR), a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) with the use of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF).
DRIVELINE: The oscillating front axle provides an excellent steering angle for maneuverability. It can also be locked for better digging and lifting performance. The rear axle is fixed. The transmission is mounted to the rear axle for optimum ground clearance and protection from obstacles.
Every daily maintenance item is easy to access. The radiator and oil cooler are separated for better cooling (and enhanced access). Maintenance data is available right from the control panel.
