Linux (2.4 and 2.6 kernels) Includes the RTD dspFramework, a suite of libraries and example programs to simplify application development. Key features of the RTD dspFramework include: Matching host-side and DSP-side libraries. Standard interfaces for passing messages between the DSP and the host system. Ability for the host to call DSP functions. Support for single and multi-threaded applications (DSP/BIOS). Support for on-board hardware (McBSP, SyncBus, Flash, etc). DSP applications can be downloaded through the PCI bus, or programmed into the on-board flash. Modular design and full source code makes it possible to modify and extend the framework. Source code, example programs, and API documentation are included for all supported platforms. TI Code Composer Studio required to develop and compile DSP applications.
