SR-HD2500 SDI recorder
SR-HD2500 Blu-ray disc and HDD recorder, with SD/HD-SDI direct recording
Introducing the new SD-HD2500 Blu-ray/HDD recorder, featuring SD/HD-SDI direct connections. The SDI interface, adopted by the industry, enables direct to Blu-ray recording, perfect for use in OB vehicles for programme recording, or for live events, conferences and post production. The deck allows the user to create standard Blu-ray high-definition discs or standard DVDs from a large variety of high definition content sources without the need to utilise complex software or IT hardware. Through its support of industry standards, the SR-HD2500 is also compatible with HDV or AVCHD cameras, offering the benefit of easy content distribution. And for the majority of clients who distribute their content in SD, there’s automatic downscaling of HD content, allowing the footage to be burned to standard definition DVDs.
The SR-HD2500 allows direct recording of video - perhaps a conference, live feed or even a medical proceedure- which can be used as a reference copy for your customers or an instantly accessible record of proceedings. Your video or documents, together with time stamp, can be saved to disc. For previewing immediately after recording at a studio or at sport events, etc., and then sending discs to clients.
For recording on discs for immediate delivery to sponsors/ customers after events, and also for making backup discs.

Compatibility information We have received many questions about compatibility, so here’s a little information that should help you decide what format to record in, and therefore what media and formats will be supported by the SR-HD2500. It should be noted that this recorder does not playback or record 3D content that’s based on MVC signal standards. You can record 3D material that’s regular HD-SDI signal, recorded as side-by-side format. Playback of such content is also possible, by using the HDMI output, although please note that HDMI is 1.3 standard, so a manual set-up of your display is needed. The unit will not playback commercial material (DVD/BluRay) on HDSDI out, when the material is copy protected. The HDD is a fast drive, designed specifically for optimum performance with the SR-HD2500, therefore you not able to use a direct import or export to or from a personal computer system with this recorder.
