Now there's an affordable video surveillance recorder specifically designed to meet the security requirements of small businesses, shops, and other retail outlets --- the SR-L910E from JVC. Offering up to 24 hours of continuous video and audio recording on a single tape, the SR-L910E features a rugged diecast aluminium chassis especially designed to withstand the wear and tear of continuous long-term use. A convenient tape counter and hour meter display makes it easy to track tape time and operation time, while a wide range of powerful security-related functions including alarm/sensor recording, series recording, automatic recording check function, tape end buzzer, mode-lock operation, and optional RS-232C interface ensure maximum peace of mind. Recording Flexibility 24-hour long-time recording with a 180-minute tape Recording times are selectable from 3 hours (3H mode) and 12/24 hours (Timelapse mode). Monitoring image recording for up to one day (24 hours) is possible with a 180-minute tape. Using the field recording system, one frame is recorded every 0.1 seconds in the 12-hour Timelapse mode and every 0.18 seconds in the 24hour Timelapse mode. Display Mode indication Available recording time (hour) E-30 E-60 Recording/ Audio Tape playback recording running interval E-90 E-120 E-180 (sec.) 3H VHS Standard 0.5 1 1.5 2 3 0.02 Possible (Continuous) 23.39 mm/sec. Audio monitoring Audio signals can be recorded in the 12-hour/24-hour Timelapse mode, as well as in the conventional 3-hour mode. This strengthens surveillance capabilities by providing both audio and video information. Time/date generator Superimposes the year, month, date, minute and second on the image during recording. Also allows you to use the menu screen to display the number of alarms, alarm time, and the number of power failures. Timer recording function Two types of timer recording are available: date-based daily (up to 8 programmes) or day-of-the-week-based. Date-based programme cancellation for up to 16 days is also possible. This makes it easy to integrate your surveillance schedule with your business schedule. An easy-to-use on-screen menu makes programming simple. SR-L910E 4p catalog 01.10.11 0:00 PM Page 3 Versatility System Flexibility Alarm recording function Series recording When an alarm signal is input in the Timelapse Record mode, the 3-hour mode is automatically engaged. Alarm recording time can be selected from 5, 15, 30, 60, 120, or 180 sec., to tape end or set manually. An index code is automatically recorded when alarm recording starts. Used as an alarm cue signal, this allows quick access to alarm recording points with the Index Search function. Built-in series input/output connectors allow you to extend your recording capabilities indefinitely or take advantage of shorter high-density recording modes (3, 12, or 24 hour) for longer periods. Connect several VCRs in series and automatically switch recording from one unit to the next without interrupting the recording. Sensor recording The SR-L910E is equipped with a camera select signal output to synchronise camera switching with timelapse recording intervals. Since switching is performed during pauses in recording, continuous coverage is assured during timelapse recording, even when using multiple cameras. Whenever an alarm signal is input in the Stop mode, the Record mode is automatically engaged, ensuring that you will always have a recording of any incident that occurs. Alarm/power loss memory To help you pinpoint and track critical problem periods, up to 9 alarm inputs or power losses (failures) can be stored in memory. Added security is provided by a highly reliable standby power backup security system for automatic re-start of recording as soon as power is restored after a power failure. Still, field advance and reverse play For a closer review of recordings, the SR-L910E offers still playback and field advance together with reverse play. External activation of recording Recording start/stop can be controlled by transmitting a VCR activation signal from an external source. Black and white recording mode The video mode can be set to Colour or B/W depending on the type of camera you are using. If you are using both colour and B/W cameras, you can set the mode to the AUTO position for automatic switching or, if you want to take advantage of the Black and White mode's higher resolution, you can set it to B/W to record in black and white only even when a colour signal is input. Reliability Camera switching function Power-off video throughput function Even when the power is off, the camera's EE input can be output from the VCR. Optional RS-232C interface The SR-L910E can easily be integrated in a sophisticated computer-driven surveillance system with the optional RS-232C interface (SA-K97U) for direct computer connection. This permits easy integration into a centralised, computer-controlled security system.
