Professional Display Engine
The SRM-L560 is a 56-inch*1 QFHD (Quad Full HD) professional video monitor, delivering a staggering 3840 x 2160 resolution four times that of Full HD (1920 x 1080). Incorporating the same TRIMASTER™ technology architecture employed in the highly acclaimed BVM-L Series of master monitors, the SRM-L560 achieves accurate color reproduction, precise images, and unsurpassed picture quality reproduction. Building on these TRIMASTER technologies, this extraordinary new professional video monitor also incorporates a 12-bit output accuracy signal processing engine, an Nonlinear Cubic Conversion (NCC) color management system, and – for the very first time in a QFHD professional monitor – a sophisticated high-purity LED backlight system*2. Flexibility is a hallmark of the SRM-L560, enabling this monitor to be used for many different applications. There are multiple display modes (4K*3/QFHD, Quad View*4, and 2K*5/HD Zoom), and versatile input signal interfaces including eight option slots for a combination of 3G-SDI and HD-SDI input adaptors*6 (HDMI™ and DVI-D inputs are standard). If the input consists of an asynchronous signal, a signal sync-lock function serves to automatically reduce image disorder in 4K/QFHD mode. This monitor is ideal for a wide variety of applications requiring precise images and accurate color reproduction in 4K/ QFHD size or a simultaneous quad view of Full HD. Example applications include digital cinema post-production, industrial design, computer graphics (CG), simulation, high-quality printing previews, air/marine traffic control, science and research laboratories, GIS (Geographic Information System) applications, and HD post-production. *1 Approx. 1,422 mm viewable area, measured diagonally. *2 Sony’s investigation. *3 4096 x 2160 pixel resolution can be displayed. *4 Four (quad) display of Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels). *5 2048 x 1080 pixel resolution can be displayed. *6 The BKM-250TG, BKM-244CC, and BKM-243HS.

Main Features High-performance QFHD LCD Panel
Ultra-high Precision Uniformity Correction
Incorporating a QFHD (3840 x 2160 resolution) LCD panel with a 10-bit panel driver, the SRM-L560 achieves superb high resolution, and high-accuracy color gradation.
The SRM-L560 video monitor displays superb brightness uniformity at every point of the screen, and this is achieved by aligning the LED backlight located beneath the LCD panel. The precision backlight system also incorporates a uniformity control function using an RGB look-up table (LUT) and color feedback system. As a result, this monitor provides a level of uniformity performance unmatched in any other QFHD monitor.
8-bit gradation
10-bit gradation
The large 56-inch screen and high-resolution LCD panel display more than eight times WXGA*1 resolution and four times Full HD resolution in a single screen. This means that the visible area spreads out instantly and dramatically, and image processing gets a remarkable efficiency boost as scroll and zoom can be saved.

Multi-color Space With a Nonlinear Cubic Conversion (NCC) color management system that uses a unique 3-D look-up table (LUT), combined with a high-purity LED backlight system, the SRM-L560 reproduces a precise wide color gamut that accurately displayed industry standard gamuts such as EBU, SMPTE-C, and ITU BT.709 (sRGB). Furthermore, D-Cine*1 and xvYCC*2 color gamuts are also supported. *1 The chromaticity of SMPTE RP 431-2-2007 is not completely displayed. *2 called ‘x.v.Color’ with the consumer products. The SRM-L560 is equipped with a unique signal processing engine developed for precision imaging. This Sony engine incorporates 12-bit output accuracy for each color process, and includes a high-quality I/P conversion algorithm, scaling processing, and a highly accurate color management system.
Multiple Display Modes The SRM-L560 provides three basic display modes: 4K/ QFHD, Quad View, and 2K/HD Zoom. 4K/QFHD mode is used for displaying 4096 x 2160 or 3840 x 2160 signal inputs. Quad View mode is used for displaying simultaneously four Full HD (1920 x 1080) signal inputs to confirm and compare four pictures at once on the same single screen. 2K/HD Zoom mode is for zooming and displaying 2048 x 1080 or 1920 x 1080 signal inputs scaled to the 3.8K screen by doubling the size horizontally and vertically.

Main Features
PC GUI Operational Convenience
Black Detail Mode
The SRM-L560 is designed to be configured and operated by the SRM Manager software*1 installed on a personal computer (with an Ethernet connection*2 between the monitor and PC). This software provides an intuitive and convenient GUI, and makes monitor setup and operation far more efficient and less time consuming.
Due to the mechanism of LCD panels, backlight leaking from the panel surface is unavoidable. Black Detail mode provides more accurate monitoring of black details in dark, low-APL (average picture level) images. The black level is reduced to 40% of the normal display (100 cd/m2 at 100% signal), but gamma is maintained for correct color and gradiants. However, high luminance areas (higher than 75 IRE) are clipped due to dynamic range of the monitor. The portions to be clipped can be displayed by zebra patterns (selectable).
*1 Included with the monitor. Supports MS Windows 7 Professional (32-bit / 64-bit), Ultimate (32-bit / 64-bit), Windows Vista Ultimate SP1, Business SP1, and Windows XP Professional SP3. Note that MS Net Framework 3.5 SP1 must be downloaded and installed. *2 Up to 32 monitors can be connected via Ethernet.

Aspect Ratio Conversion An anamorphic image can be displayed with the corrected aspect ratio. Aspect ratios of 16:9, 1.896:1, and 2.39:1 can be selected. * When converting from 16:9 to 2.39:1, vertical resolution is degraded.
Gamut Error Display The SRM-L560 video monitor incorporates a Gamut Error Display function that detects out of gamut signals. The monitor indicates any irregularity with a zebra pattern over the relevant area of the picture. This is a convenient function that instantly alerts viewers to these signals without using a waveform monitor.
Picture Calibration The white balance can be automatically adjusted by using a commercially available probe (Konica Minolta CA-210, DK-Technologies PM 5639/06, or X-Rite Eye-One (i1) Pro).
This function allows 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution images to be mapped, pixel-to-pixel, on the 3840 QFHD (3840 x 2160) panel without 4096 x 2160 picture degradation. When the left or right edge of the picture 3840 x 2160 frame needs to be viewed, the user can shift the image horizontally. The image can be horizontally scrolled
