SYSTEM SET UP (CONTINUED) CONNECTING DECK ASSEMBLIES
Before connecting Deck Assemblies together, verify that there is enough space to accomodate the entire Stage System.
1. Position and connect the highest and larger deck row first, then work down and then outward to the lower elevations. Important: Deck elevations of 60” (152 cm) or higher require using Connectors at both the top and bottom of the Legs. 2. Depending on the configuration, a variety of Roto-Locks, Connectors and Leg Straps may be used to connect the Deck Assemblies together. Every Deck Assembly must be connected to any adjoining Deck Assembly as indicated in the following sample layout drawings.
Position and connect the highest and largest deck row first.

CLOSURE AND DRAPERY ACCESSORY
Attaching Closure Panels For easier alignment, attach any smaller front-facing Closure Panels before attaching the larger Closure Panels.
To assist with placement, each Closure Panel is labeled with “FRONT”, “BACK”, “LH” or “RH” indicating which side of the stage it is intended for. The label should face towards the inside of the stage when the Closure Panel is attached. 1. Horizontally center the Closure Panel over the Side Support Frame.
2. Angle the Closure Panel to fit the outside clip of the Bracket into the outside lip of the Side Support Frame. 3. Rotate the Closure Panel inward to engage the inside clip of the Bracket with the inside lip of the Side Support Frame. 4. The Closure Panels can be removed by rotating them outward, away from the Side Support Frame.

CLOSURE AND DRAPERY ACCESSORY (CONTINUED)
Attaching Drapery The “hook” side of the Velcro® tape will need to be attached to the side of the deck. Hook tape is usually supplied in a length to match the length of the drapery. The “loop” side of the Velcro® tape is already attached to the drapery fabric sections.
The tape may need to be cut into smaller sections depending on the drapery configuration. 1. Peel off the pressure sensitive backing and apply the Velcro® hook side tape to the flat outside surface of the Side Support Frame of the deck perimeter. Be sure that the surface is clean and dry before applying.
2. Begin at one corner and press drapery onto the Velcro®. Continue until drapery section is completely attached. Repeat this procedure with the remaining drapery sections. Drapery may be wrapped around corners without using hook tape. 3. A short piece of Velcro® is attached to the end of each drapery section to overlap individual drapery sections.
4. To remove a drapery section, pull the drapery toward you and off of the support frame.

Drapery Installation with Guardrails If draperies are used on a stage deck with guardrails, the draperies must be attached after the guardrails are in place.
Drapery Installation with Stairways If draperies are used on a stage deck with stairways, the draperies must be attached before the stairways are in place. 27
SYSTEM SET UP (CONTINUED) BACKDROP ACCESSORY
Getting Started Before beginning the Backdrop Kit assembly, note the following considerations: • The Backdrop Kit must be used along with the Guardrail Assessory (not included). • The Backdrop Kit is available in 3’, 4’, 6’ and 8’ standard widths and supports 8’ tall drapery. • Drapery is shipped seperately from the supplier. • A 9/16” Wrench is required for assembly.
Assembly 1. Attach a Leg Clamp Assembly to both of the Uprights with one 3/8-16 x 4” Capscrew and 3/8-16 Lock Nut using a 9/16” Wrench as shown. Face both Leg Clamp Assemblies outward, creating a right-hand Upright and a left-hand Upright. 2. Screw a Knob into both of the Uprights as show. The Knob only needs to be screwed in far enough to hold it in place.

UNIVERSAL DECK & RAIL CART ACCESSORY
! CAUTION
Never place a cart sideways on an inclined ramp — a loaded cart could tip over.
Never load the cart with more than a maximum load of 1200 lbs (544 kg) or: - Up to six StageTek™ Decks or six StageTek™ Rails - Up to eight Versalite® Decks - Up to six STRATA® Decks.
Always secure decks and rails into place with the tie-down assembly and before moving a loaded cart. Using the cart on floor surfaces that are not level or that have rough and uneven areas can result in an unsafe condition. Make sure that all four casters remain in contact with the floor.
Two people must always work together when moving a loaded cart. One person pushing at the rear and one person guiding the cart at the front.
Avoid moving loaded carts on ramps steeper than a one-foot rise or drop in a 12’ (3.7 m) horizontal distance.
Always move slowly up or down a ramp with the narrow end of the cart in the direction of travel.
Never stand on a cart when working on it or moving components.
Cleaning 1. Clean the Cart with a mild, non-abrasive soap with warm water and a clean, soft cotton cloth. 2. Never use an abrasive or harsh cleaning agent or a chemical cleaning agent. Routine Maintenance 1. Replace worn, damaged, or missing matting.
2. Immediately replace any casters that do not roll or swivel freely.
3. Make sure that all fasteners are tight and that none are missing. 4. Make sure that the snapper pins are locked.

MAINTENANCE DECKS
Keep the deck surfaces clean and dry. When necessary, clean with a broom or brush. No other maintenance is required. Do not use oil-based cleaning products, and do not wax or polish the decks. Carpeted surfaces can be spot-cleaned, using only enough solution to remove spots. Never saturate the carpet.
DRAPERY
Drapery sections may be washed or dry-cleaned. Remove all drapery clips prior to cleaning. • Machine-wash at 120° F or lower using mild detergent. Remove immediately after the wash cycle is completed.
Tumble-dry at “permanent-press” or lower temperature. Remove and hang immediately to prevent wrinkling. Excessive heat or drying time will detract from the permanent-press characteristics of the fabric and may cause permanent wrinkles. Little or no ironing is required.
• When dry-cleaning, tumble-dry on the lowest heat cycle and remove immediately when dry.
PREVENTENTIVE
MAINTENANCE
Inspect all bolts on the platform and accessories every six months, and tighten as necessary. Replace any worn, bent, or broken parts promptly to prevent injury.
