IMPORTANT: The box needs at least 2 inches of space on all sides to allow ventilation and avoid overheating. It is also possible to add a VCR or DVD player to your connection: 4818-StdBox-QuikStrt-LclOldremot5 5 5/22/07 4:01:23 PM Installing Your Converter Box Step 1: Connect Box to TV (continued) For higher quality sound and picture, use an RCA audio/video cable to connect the box to your TV. With a VCR or DVD player: Step 2: Connect Box to Cable Connect the coax cable that is coming from a wall outlet to the “Cable In” or RF In” input on the back of the converter box. 4818-StdBox-QuikStrt-LclOldremot6 6 5/22/07 4:01:36 PM Step 3: Plug in the Box Using the power cord included in your shipment, plug the converter box into a standard electrical outlet. THE YELLOW POWER LIGHT ON THE FRONT OF THE BOX WILL FLASH ON AND OFF VERY QUICKLY. USE THE CABLE BUTTON ON THE REMOTE CONTROL TO TURN THE BOX BACK ON AND CONTINUE TO STEP 4. Step 4: Activating Your Box You MUST call to activate your box! Once your box is connected to the cable outlet and plugged in, call 866.482.8344. Follow the prompts to activate your box. The activation signal will turn your box off.
