Standard Five Gallon Autoclave™ Model BC1892SS01BD AE MAGNEDRIVE® II STANDARD 5-GALLON BOLTED CLOSURE AUTOCLAVE
Model BC1892SS01BD is a self-contained rotary agitated packless autoclave requiring only connection to utilities prior to operation. This unit has a nominal capacity of 5.4 gallons, with actual internal volume of 19682 cc with internal components in place. With its non-contaminating packless drive, it is applicable in a wide range of laboratory research and batch-scale test operations in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and related process industries.
Standard Equipment Pressure Vessel.
Bolted closure (confined gasket) type, Model BC1892SS01 with body and cover of Type 316 stainless steel.
Three 3/8" tube (SW375) connections (adapted from 3/4" flat bottom gasket connections) for gas connection.
Gasket: Flexitallic gasket, 300 series stainless steel with asbestos filler.
One 1/2" safety head connection (adapted from 3/4" flat bottom gasket connection).
Closure screws: Twelve 7/8-14 SA-193 B-16 alloy steel cap screws, socket head, 1.75" long.
Safety head rupture disc: Iconel, rated 1,200 psi @ 72°F (8.4 MPa 22.2°C).
Internals: Cooling coil, thermowell, blow pipe and sampling tube of type 316 stainless steel, 3/8" OD x 0.250" ID tubing.
Stator and Magnetic Drive.
Cover openings: Two for cooling coil, 1/4" NPT with quickdisconnects. One 3/8" tube (SW375) connection to 6V71B6 valve to sampling tube inside. One for thermowell, 1/4" drill. One for charging, 1.00" dia. port. One 3/8" tube (SW375) connection to 6V71B6 valve to blow pipe.
Body flange openings: One 1/8" tube (W125) connection (adapted from 3/4" flat bottom gasket connection) to pressure gauge. 1/8" SpeedBite Purge Connection
MagneDrive® II magnetically actuated rotary impeller system, Model No. 1.5001SS04FBD. Static torque: 27 in. lbs. Net mixing horsepower: 0.64 HP@ 1500 RPM. (0.43 HP @ 1000 RPM recommended maximum). See drawing page 2 for materials of construction.
Furnace. Electric, external strip heater type rated 1400°F (760°C). 120 VAC or 220 VAC single phase. Furnished with Type “K” spring loaded thermocouple as standard.
Instrumentation. Pressure gauge (0-1500 psi and 0-105 Kg/cm2), analog tachometer, sampling valve and blow pipe valve.

CAUTION: While testing has shown O-rings to provide satisfactory service life, both cyclic and shelf life may vary widely with differing service conditions, properties of reactants, pressure and temperature cycling, and age of the O-rings. FREQUENT INSPECTION SHOULD BE MADE to detect any deterioration, and O-rings replaced as required.

Agitator.
All optional motors furnished with fixed pitch sheave for 1000 RPM max. agitation speed.
Parker AE Dispersimax® turbine-type with 4" diameter impeller, 6 blades. Drive shaft, hex jam nut and impeller all of Type 316 stainless steel. Removable two-blade baffle of Type 316 stainless steel.
AM: Air motor. 0-2000 RPM variable motor speed with lubricator/regulator. AC: 110V or 220V. 60 Hz AC motor produces 3/4 HP at 1750 RPM. Motor is sealed to resist explosive atmospheres. DC: 115V DC motor option permits variable motor speeds up to 2500 RPM at 3/4 HP. Single phase, 50/60 Hz. complete. Complete with control console, switch and rheostat to regulate motor speed.

Parker AE Dispersimax® 6-bladed turbine type impeller system draws process gases through tubular shaft and propels them through liquid at high velocity.
