STCS - RCM Datasheet Built in Communication  with Welding machines  and KSK Labeling System  The “Shrinking Tube Control System – Resistor Centring Machine” (STCS-RCM) is a shrinking system for wiring harness thermoplastic protections (sleeves) applied in waterproof applications, with control and monitoring, with an infrared oven equipped with an automatic sleeves’ centring system. Easy to use, easy to program. Use of labels for the shrinking time of a reference, in order to assist the operator; Can work in automatic sleeves’ centring mode or in normal mode. 2 different operating modes: M1 with temperature control and shrinking time; and M2 mode with references; The system can work with automatic sleeves’ centring mode or in normal mode (without centring). In normal mode, the centring electrode is deactivated and the shrinking operation is started by pressing 2 side buttons (like in STCS-IR500 machine). The machine has 2 operating modes: M1 with time/temperature monitoring/control; M2 similar to M1 but with references: sequences of pre-programmed shrinking times (each reference can have from 1 to 40 shrinking times). In M2 mode during execution, the references can be selected manually: using the keyboard or the rotating knob or automatically: using barcode readers. The machine has an additional operating mode: M3, which allows to work with KSK labelling system, interpreting and parsing the barcode generated by this system. The STCS-RCM also allows the reference’s programming, in M2 and M3 mode, through a dedicated software tool, which allows to program several machines in a very fast and easy way. Selection of references automatically: using barcode readers or manually: using a rotating knob or the keyboard; Built in communication with welding machines, such as Schunk™ machines;  Built in communication with KSK labeling system; Can shrink sleeves up to (and included) RBK4 size; Automatic calibration (single cycle); Infrared oven with ceramic resistors, very easy to replace and with cheap consumables; Option for end-splice sleeves; Partial and global cycle counter; Working time counter; Special maintenance mode for hardware debug; Automatic cool-down cycle to extend the lifecycle of components; Programming mode password protected; Several configurable languages, including: English, Portuguese, French and Spanish (or others on demand); Reference’s programming manually or through a PC application (that reads Excel™ files). 24211-80-002-R02 In centring mode, the machine has an electrode which is used to detect the welded zone (copper area) of the cable. Once the operator touches the electrode with the cable, 2 side clamps holds the cable making it immovable during the entire process. A centring system positions the sleeve in the middle of the copper area and the oven goes to the cable and performs the shrinking process. At the end of the shrinking process, the cable is automatically expelled from the machine. FEATURES DESCRIPTION The centring feature allows the automatic centring of the sleeve in the middle of the copper area (welded zone), in order to avoid misposition sleeves.
