INSTALLATION GUIDE for the
SB-C-PTCRSR/10WØ (1999-Up Chrysler PT Cruiser Sedan)
START HERE

STEP 1: Remove the OEM driver’s side rear cargo panel.
➔
STEP 2: After removing the the panel, remove the panel bracket that is located behind the rear seat.
➔ STEP 3: Remove the black plastic vent.
This Stealthbox is a product which requires professional installation skills and tools. Please read this installation guide thoroughly before beginning the project. It will guide you step by step through the installation. Several of the steps in this process may require two people to accomplish. It is absolutely vital that the enclosure be properly mounted to the vehicle according to these instructions. Failure to mount the enclosure properly presents two problems: 1) The sub-bass performance will suffer due to the movement of the enclosure caused by the force exerted by the woofer(s) and 2) A loose enclosure presents a serious safety hazard in the event of a collision or sudden deceleration. ➔ STEP 4: Drill a 1/2” hole through the dimple, that is located below the black vent location from STEP 3.
➔ STEP 5: Remove the driver’s side taillight, by removing the single screw located at the bottom of the taillight housing.
STEP 6 (A): Connect the speaker wire to the enclosure. Check the woofer for proper operation. *This will not be possible after the enclosure has been mounted.* (B): Thread in the supplied socket cup set screw into the enclosure. Leaving about 1-1/2” exposed.

STEP 7: Once in position, the socket cup set screw should line up with and pass through the hole that was drilled from STEP 4.
STEP 8: Before securing the enclosure to the vehicle. If the length of the socket cup set screw needs to be adjusted, do so before adding on the mounting assembly.
STEP 9: At this time, the taillight housing can be mounted back into position.
STEP 10: On the back side of the driver’s side rear cargo panel that was removed in STEP 1. Grind off the plastic welds that attach the pocket to the rear side of the panel.
Use the supplied fender washer, flat washer, lock washer and hex nut to secure the enclosure into place. Gain access to the socket cup screw, through the removed taillight’s opening. Secure tightly.
➔ STEP 11: With these welds grounded off, the pocket will detach from the panel.
➔ STEP 12: Clean the surface around the pocket opening with denatured alcohol.
➔ STEP 13: Cut the supplied dual lock strip into 1.0” segments.
STEP 14: Place the 1.0” dual lock strips from STEP 13, onto the supplied grill.

➔ STEP 15: Press the grille firmly to the factory panel.
➔ STEP 16: Once the grille is attached to the panel, it is ready to be re-installed back into the vehicle. Once the panel is in place. Drill a 5/32” hole into the enclosure using the factory screw hole as a guide.
➔ CONGRATULATIONS! INSTALL COMPLETE.
STEP 17: The factory screw now can be reused to secure the rear cargo panel to the enclosure.
