Instructions on how to connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth using the pairing feature of the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. (All examples shown are using the COMAND system) For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to be successful Bluetooth must be turned on in your mobile phone. Please make sure to also read the operating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone. Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone Vertu Signature Touch with the mobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth. Step 1 To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system press the “TEL” key on the radio or select Tel. Step 2 Select "Connect device" located in the lower left corner. Step 3 Select "Search via telephone". Mercedes-Benz 1 Step 4 The display of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system will show "Ready for external authorisation…" Now the system is ready for a new Bluetooth connection. Step 5 (to be performed on your Vertu Signature Touch) From the main screen of your mobile phone, 1. Select "Settings" 2. Select "Bluetooth" 3. Select the option “Bluetooth”, to turn on Bluetooth. 4. Select “MB Bluetooth” Step 6 Confirm the authorization of Vertu Signature Touch by selecting "Yes". The name of your mobile phone will be displayed where " Signature Touch” is shown. Mercedes-Benz 2 Step 7 The pairing process will generate a 6-digit pass code and display it on the screen. Verify that the same 6 digits are shown on the display of your mobile phone. Step 8 (to be performed on your Vertu Signature Touch) If the pass code match, select “Pair” on your phone. If there are any additional pop-ups on your phone, select “ok” to enable these features. Step 9 Wait for authorization to finish. Step 10 Mercedes-Benz 3 If the authorization was successful a pop-up appears on your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Step 11 After your mobile phone is successfully connected via Bluetooth to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system the name of your mobile phone (Signature Touch) will be displayed in the lower left corner above the “Connect device” icon.
