Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone (Motorola EM330) with the mobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth®. For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to be successful Bluetooth® must be turned on in your mobile phone and the mobile must be set to visible. Please make sure to also read the operating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone. Step 1 (to be performed on your Motorola EM330) From the main screen of your mobile phone, 1. Select menu. 2. Scroll to "Settings". 3. Select "Bluetooth® Link". 4. Select "Setup" and if power is off change to on. 4. Select "back". 5. Select "Find Me". 6. "Discoverable: 4 minutes" will be shown. Please note that your mobile phone will only be visible for a limited amount of time. During this time the pairing process must be started on the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Step 2 To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system press the “TEL” key on the radio or select "Telephone". Step 3 Select the "Data/Connections" application located in the lower left corner. Seite 1 von 4 Step 4 Select "Bluetooth Telephones" from the list. Step 5 Select the "Update" function. Step 6 The system will now search for any Bluetooth® compatible phones. This may take some time depending on how many devices are found by the system. Step 7 Once the system completes searching select your mobile phone (example "My phone") from the list. Seite 2 von 4 Step 8 To connect your mobile phone to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system enter a unique 1 to 16 digit passcode (password) using the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. To guarantee a successful Bluetooth® connection it is recommended that at least a 4 digit passcode (password) is used. Select "Ok" to confirm. Step 9 (to be performed on your Motorola EM330) 1. "Bond with: MB Bluetooth Yes/No" will be shown on your mobile phone. Select "Yes". 2. "Enter Bluetooth PIN:" will be shown and a minimum of 4 digits has to be entered. Please note that this passkey must be identical to the passkey you entered in the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. 3. Confirm the passkey by selecting "OK." 4. "Verifying PIN…" will be shown. 5. "PIN verified and saved" will be shown. 6. "MB Bluetooth@ Requests Handsfree Voice Gateway. Grand/Deny" will be shown. Select "Grand". 7. "Connected: MB Bluetooth®" will be shown. Step 10 If the authorization was successful a PopUp appears on your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Seite 3 von 4 Step 11 After your mobile phone is successfully connected via Bluetooth® to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system the name and show the actual status of your mobile (example "My Phone") phone will be displayed.
