Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone (Motorola W755) with the mobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth®. For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to be successful Bluetooth® must be turned on in your mobile phone and the mobile must be set to visible. Please make sure to also read the operating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone. Step 1 (to be performed on your Motorola W755) From the main screen of your mobile phone, 1. Select menu. 2. Scroll to "SETTINGS & TOOLS." 3. Select "Bluetooth® Menu" and if power is off change to on. 4. Select "Options." 5. Select "Discovery Mode." 6. Select "On." 7. "DISCOVERY ON: FOR ONE MINUTE OTHER DEVICES CAN FIND YOU" will be shown. Please note that your mobile phone will only be visible for a limited amount of time (approximately 1 minute). During this time the pairing process must be started on the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Step 2 To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system press the “TEL” key on the radio or select "Telephone". Step 3 Select the "Data/Connections" application located in the lower left corner. Seite 1 von 4 Step 4 Select "Bluetooth Telephones" from the list. Step 5 Select the "Update" function. Step 6 The system will now search for any Bluetooth® compatible phones. This may take some time depending on how many devices are found by the system. Step 7 Once the system completes searching select your mobile phone (example "My phone") from the list. Seite 2 von 4 Step 8 To connect your mobile phone to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system enter a unique 1 to 16 digit passcode (password) using the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. To guarantee a successful Bluetooth® connection it is recommended that at least a 4 digit passcode (password) is used. Select "Ok" to confirm. Step 9 (to be performed on your Motorola W755) 1. "PAIR DEVICE / Enter passkey" will be shown on your mobile phone. 2. Please enter your passkey. This passkey must be identical to the passkey you entered in the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. 3. Confirm the passkey by selecting "OK." 4. "VERIFYING PIN…" will be shown. 5. "MB BLUETOOTH® PAIRING COMPLETE" will be shown. 6. "BLUETOOTH® CONNECTION TO MB BLUETOOTH® COMPLETE" will be shown. Appendix Note: To make sure the Bluetooth® connection works well the incoming security in the BT menu has to be set to "Automatic". Step 10 If the authorization was successful a PopUp appears on your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Seite 3 von 4 Step 11 After your mobile phone is successfully connected via Bluetooth® to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system the name and show the actual status of your mobile (example "My Phone") phone will be displayed.
