Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone (Nokia 2760) with the mobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth®. For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to be successful Bluetooth® must be turned on in your mobile phone and the mobile must be set to visible. Please make sure to also read the operating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone. Step 1 (to be performed on your Nokia 2760) From the main screen of your mobile phone, 1. Select menu. 2. Select "Settings." 3. Select "Connectivity." 4. Select "Bluetooth®." 5. Select "Bluetooth®" and if it is turned off change to on. 6. Select "My phone’s visibility." 7. Select "Permanent visibility" or "Permanent visibility." 8. "Phone visible to searching devices when Bluetooth® on" or "Phone is temporarily visible to all devices" will be shown. If you select "Permanent visibility", please note that your mobile phone will be visible now. If you select "Permanent visibility" please note that your mobile phone will only be visible for a limited amount of time (approximately 2 minutes). During this time the pairing process must be started on the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Step 2 To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system press the “TEL” key on the radio or select "Telephone". Seite 1 von 4 Step 3 Select the "Data/Connections" application located in the lower left corner. Step 4 Select "Bluetooth Telephones" from the list. Step 5 Select the "Update" function. Step 6 The system will now search for any Bluetooth® compatible phones. This may take some time depending on how many devices are found by the system. Seite 2 von 4 Step 7 Once the system completes searching select your mobile phone (example "My phone") from the list. Step 8 To connect your mobile phone to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system enter a unique 1 to 16 digit passcode (password) using the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. To guarantee a successful Bluetooth® connection it is recommended that at least a 4 digit passcode (password) is used. Select "Ok" to confirm. Step 9 (to be performed on your Nokia 2760) 1. "Pair with? MB Bluetooth®" will be shown. 2. Select "Accept." 3. "Enter passcode:" will be shown. 4. Please enter your passcode. This passcode must be identical to the passcode you entered in the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. 5. Confirm the passcode by selecting "OK." 6. "Pairing with MB Bluetooth®" will be shown. 7. "Paired with MB Bluetooth®" will be shown. 8. "Allow this device to connect automatically? Choosing ‘Yes’ allows connections to take place automatically without confirmation. Choosing ‘No’ means connection requests will require your confirmation." will be shown. 9. Select "Yes." Seite 3 von 4 10. "Auto-connect on. Confirmation will not be asked." will be shown. 11. "Connected to MB Bluetooth®" will be shown. Step 10 If the authorization was successful a PopUp appears on your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Step 11 After your mobile phone is successfully connected via Bluetooth® to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system the name and show the actual status of your mobile (example "My Phone") phone will be displayed.
