Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone (Samsung SGH-i637) with the mobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth®. For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to be successful Bluetooth® must be turned on in your mobile phone and the mobile must be set to visible. Please make sure to also read the operating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone. Step 1 (to be performed on your Samsung SGH-i637) From the main screen of your mobile phone, 1. Select "Start" and go to settings. 2. Select the folder "Connections" and select "Bluetooth®". 3. Select "Menu" and if Bluetooth® is turned off turn it on. 4. Select "Menu" and if the Visibility is turned off turn it on. Please note that your mobile phone will be visible now. During this time the pairing process must be started on the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Step 2 To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system press the “TEL” key on the radio or select "Telephone". Step 3 Select the "Data/Connections" application located in the lower left corner. Seite 1 von 4 Step 4 Select "Bluetooth Telephones" from the list. Step 5 Select the "Update" function. Step 6 The system will now search for any Bluetooth® compatible phones. This may take some time depending on how many devices are found by the system. Step 7 Once the system completes searching select your mobile phone (example "My phone") from the list. Seite 2 von 4 Step 8 To connect your mobile phone to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system enter a unique 1 to 16 digit passcode (password) using the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. To guarantee a successful Bluetooth® connection it is recommended that at least a 4 digit passcode (password) is used. Select "Ok" to confirm. Step 9 (to be performed on your Samsung SGH-i637) 1. "MB Bluetooth would like to connect with your Smartphone using Bluetooth®. Would you like to add it to your device list? 2. Select "Yes". 3. Enter a passcode to estblish a secure connection with MB Bluetooth®" will be shown. 4 Please enter your passkey. This passkey must be identical to the passkey you entered in the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. 5. Confirm the passkey by selecting "Next." 6. "Your pocket PC has connected with MB Bluetooth" will be shown. 7. "Device MB Bluetooth® is asking for your contacts. Do you want to allow access?" will be shown. 8. Select "Yes". Step 10 If the authorization was successful a PopUp appears on your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Seite 3 von 4 Step 11 After your mobile phone is successfully connected via Bluetooth® to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system the name and show the actual status of your mobile (example "My Phone") phone will be displayed.
