Announcing the Digital 10-button Speakerphone We are very pleased to announce an exciting new enhancement to the Toshiba 2000-series digital telephone product line. The Digital 10-button Speakerphone (DKT2010-S) replaces the Digital 10-button Handsfree Telephone (DKT2010-H), at the same price. This new telephone provides more functionality and greater value. It makes the entire 2000-series digital telephone product line consist of speakerphones, except the single line model.
Description The DKT2010-S is the same as the DKT2010-H, except for the speakerphone operation. The DKT2010-S has full two-way operation on outside, as well as inside calls, as compared to the DKT2010-H which only has handsfree answerback operation on internal calls. All other aspects of appearance, color choice (charcoal gray and ash white), and functionality are the same. Note
The DKT2010-S speakerphone operation can be downgraded to handsfree operation equivalent to the DKT2010-H on individual telephones through Strata system programming.
Product Line Strategy The Toshiba 2000-series digital telephone product line now consists of the following models: DKT2001
Single line digital telephone with one-way voice announce speaker (no handsfree answerback).
DKT2010-S
10-button digital telephone with full speakerphone for 2-way handsfree conversation on both internal and outside line calls.
DKT2020-S
20-button digital telephone with full speakerphone for 2-way handsfree conversation on both internal and outside line calls.
DKT2010-SD
10-button digital telephone with full speakerphone for 2-way handsfree conversation on both internal and outside line calls, a 2-line x 16-character Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), and three soft keys for LCD feature prompting operation.

All existing Strata DK documentation will be updated to include the new DKT2010-S speakerphone. The current Digital Telephone User Guide is unaffected by this model change and continues to work for all models.

The charcoal gray DKT2010-S replaces the DKT2010-H effective immediately. Some existing unfilled orders for DKT2010-H telephones may be filled with DKT2010-S telephones. Future charcoal gray orders should reflect this product change.

The ash white DKT2010-S(W) will replace the DKT2010-H(W) in March 1999. Until that time, future ash white orders should continue to be placed for the DKT2010-H(W).
