The pocket sized solution: the SuperVario2 24
SuperVario2 Braille displays are compact and take up very little space. You don’t have to sacrifice workspace to add a BAUM Braille display. If you’re travelling and you need something robust, reliable and portable that fits in your laptop bag then the SuperVario2 is the answer. Its long battery operating time allows you to work away from home or in school for hours on a single charge; in fact, SuperVario2 can last all day without visiting a power socket. The SuperVario2 family has evolved over the years to the pinnacle of user expectations, providing the perfect working environment for a wide variety of applications. BAUM’s experience in this field really shows with the design of this comprehensive range. The SuperVario2 product family includes 3 portable models (24, 32, and 40-cell), and 2 stationary models (64 and 80-cell) for desktop use. All SuperVario2 models have Braille cells with integrated cursor routing and practical navigation keys.
Multi-protocol capability
All SuperVario2 Braille displays work seamlessly together with COBRA (BAUM’s unique screen reader). They also work with other screen readers as well. By simply pressing a button you can choose between a number of different protocols. This ensures flexibility in many different environments.
Human Interface Device
HID-devices (Human Interface Device) are very popular in general; a person doesn't think about driver installation when attaching a new keyboard or a new mouse to a PC. As of now this is also true for SuperVario2 Braille displays. Just connect it – it will automatically be recognized and installed without any further requests for drivers, administrator rights or the like. This is real plug-and-play and for that reason extremely suitable for blind and visually impaired people. We are among the first companies to implement this technology for the blind and visually impaired!
Long battery life
SuperVario2 Braille displays consume very little power and when connected through Bluetooth (wireless option) the SuperVario2 will run for approximately 25 hours. Battery charging is done through the USB connection of your PC/Laptop. An optional external USB charging device can also be used.

The smaller 64-cell Braille display is the same length of a standard desktop keyboard computer keyboard. It is ideal for desktop use in environments where standard Windows-applications are being used. Another example could be for use in educational environments where smaller children have a shorter reach than adults and where the 80-cell Braille displays are too wide. Available as HID.
SuperVario2 40
This model is the most compact 40-cell Braille display in the world! It is highly recommended for users that want to work with laptop computers productively. It is now available as Human Interface Device (HID) which allows interfacing with computers without drivers needing to be installed. Available as HID.
SuperVario2 32 Being productive whilst on the move
Price wise the SuperVario2 32 is an attractive alternative to the SuperVario2 40. It is often used in combination with sub-notebook computers, palmtops and netbooks in educational environments as a space saving solution to fit on school tables and in schoolbags. Available as HID.
SuperVario2 24
This mini-Braille display can be slipped into any pocket or bag very easily and has proven itself as the smallest solution for laptop and sub-notebook use. Slightly bigger than the palm of your hand, the SuperVario2 24 offers the same functionality as its bigger brothers! Available as HID.
