SVFT-UCP Ceiling Panel for Surveyor VFT Camera Dome System This Instruction Sheet covers the installation of the SVFT-UCP Universal Ceiling Panel. This ceiling panel should be installed by a qualified technician using common hand tools. This ceiling panel is only to be used with specific UL Listed Vicon cameras. Refer to the camera’s manual for Listing compatibility. This ceiling panel was designed exclusively to support the Surveyor VFT Camera Dome in a standard 24 in. x 24 in. (610 mm x 610 mm) dropped ceiling grid. It is a white-painted, sheet-steel panel with a correctly sized opening for the Surveyor VFT. The Surveyor VFT installs up into the panel and uses two (2) screw-adjusted Flippers for securing it. Refer to the most recent version of the Surveyor VFT Installation and Operation Manual XX134 for details on installing the Surveyor VFT Camera Dome. All equipment is factory tested and inspected. Inspect the item upon delivery and if damage is present, contact the carrier and file a damage claim immediately. If the equipment must be returned for any reason, contact Vicon at the numbers listed below to obtain instructions on obtaining a Return Authorization (RA) number. Note: Verify that the area above the desired location is free of obstacles such as beams, pipes, wiring, HVAC components, etc. 1. Remove the desired ceiling tile and two adjacent tiles for accessibility. 2. Install the SVFT-UCP in the desired grid frame square. Refer to Figure 1. 3. Refer to the Surveyor VFT Installation & Operation Manual for Camera Dome installation.
