OPEN Malmö Fäktklubb invites you to our annual tournament Malmö Open 11th - 12th of April 2015 Foil and Épée – individual tournaments for young fencers Foil: Born 1995 or later. Epee: Born 1998 or later. The tournament is one of the competitions in the Swedish Masters series but it will be open for all fencers of the right age group.

Times and classes Friday 10th of April Equipment control is open between 18:00–20:00 in the tournament hall. Saturday 11th of April – Individual competitions Registration and equipment control opens at 07:15. We expect that the tournament will start within half an hour after the last registration of your class. Please note blade size stipulations. Referees will meet at 08:15. After the tournament there will be a prize ceremony. (A fencer is allowed to compete in a class older than him/herself.) Weapons

Regulations Leader of the tournament is Per Palmström Head Referee is our Fencing Master Orvar Jönsson FIE-rules and SvFF – tournament rules of December 1st 2014 including security regulations. The mask must have the new type of bib for foil fencing.
Formula The competitions rules and regulations are based on FIE REG., SvFF TB and the Swedish Masters ruling book - http://www.fencing.se/om-faktning/tavlingar/tavlingsbestammelser/ Poule systems depending on the number of fencers and then direct elimination. (Hopefully two poule rounds and then direct elimination for all fencers).
Entry fee 15 Euro or 150 SEK per capita or by double start 25 Euro or 250 SEK, which can be paid at the registration in the hall.
Entry Use Ophardt online - https://online.ophardt-team.org/default.asp For no Ophardt online users; please send your entries by e-mail or by mail as early as possible. We must have them by April 1st at the very latest. Later entries will be accepted, if possible, and in that case the fee will however be doubled. Do not forget to state name, day of birth (DDMMYYYY), club, class and weapon. Email:

Weapon and security control Please note that the metal vest and mask must be checked and will be given an approval mark. This control is open Friday from 18:00 to 20:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 7:15 in the hall. Due to SvFF competition rules additional inspections will be conducted by the referee on the piste.

Each club, Swedish or foreign, who with five starts or more (during the whole weekend) must have referee/s available during the tournament. A penalty of SEK 1500 or Euro 150 must be paid for each referee, a club cannot present in accordance with the stipulations above. Any fines must be paid before the tournament of the day begins. Please send the name/s of the referee/s, competence (e.g. FIE) and weapon together with your Ophardt online entry. For no Ophardt online users; please send it to:

Cafeteria Beverages, sandwiches etc. will be sold during competition hours.
