We will learn about the animals’ classifications, characteristics and habitats using a variety of activities, projects, DVDs and games. We will also go on a field trip to Utah’s Hogle Zoo to observe the animals. It will be an Adventure!!! Wear a dress to this class, as well as a “Party Dress” for the last day, where students will host a tea party for their parents. The students will also travel to the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake City to experience the night skies in a planetarium setting. Students will be staying in the WWCC dorms and all meals will be provided. We will learn princess activities, hear the princess’ tales, study princess virtues and character. We will read princess books, and play princess games. Each princess will make a Disney themed snack each day. Please send girls with an oversize T-shirt they can use to cover their dresses for “messy” activities. This class will progress through cutting the material, sewing the pieces together, putting the border around the pieces etc. The finished product is sure to be one of great accomplishment. Summer Theatre for Youth Register at WWCC Theatre following Auditions!! Monday - Thursday 9:00 – 2:00 pm Entering 4th – 12th WWCC Theatre $25.00 Training in acting, dancing and singing with WWCC Professors Chris Will (director) and Eric DeLora (music director).This training will occur during rehearsals for the production “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr.” The rehearsal period will last four weeks: Monday – Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. (no meeting on July 4th). Please bring your own lunch! The rehearsals will culminate in a performance on July 27th & 28th at 7:00 pm. An audition is required; please prepare to sing a song while acting. Please bring sheet music for the piano player. Auditions are Saturday April 30th from 10:00 am -1:00 pm at the WWCC Theatre Rock Springs Campus. For those cast, you will register and pay the fee on the first day of rehearsal (July 5, 2016). They will spend one week volunteering at the RDHS learning how to help, care for and basic training of homeless animals.
