The SYM8953U provides 64-bit addressing through dual address cycles (DAC), to give you access to more memory spaces and improve your throughput. It also incorporates new technology that greatly improves the reliability of your cable signal, even in noisy environments. An ideal solution for connecting workstations, RAID controllers and highperformance servers, the SYM8953U complies with Microsoft Corporation’s PC99 certification requirements.

This enhanced single-channel adapter is the latest in a family of host adapters based on the industry’s first Ultra2 SCSI I/O processor. You can connect up to 15 SCSI devices by simply plugging in the SYM8953U host adapter board and loading the drivers.

The SYM8953U features LVDlink™ and TolerANT™ technology to give you maximum noise immunity and signal integrity for Ultra2 transfer speeds on longer cable lengths. The board’s SYM53C895A controller handles mismatches in SCSI data phase transfers without interrupting the CPU, to provide better CPU utilization. It also supports Power Management v1.1.
