Other systems only record incidents or events and not the entire trip or ride. y If the internal G Sensor senses an abnormal or abrupt change, the system stores this data onto the SD card and will not be erased. The Driver will be alerted by a sound from the unit’s speaker so he or she knows the X,Y, and/or Z axis settings of the G sensor was breached. Typically 1 Minute* before and after this detected event sees data that is automatically stored for review as an Event. *Th fleet *The fl t or security it manager can choose h the th pre eventt recording di time; ti either 1, 2, or 3 minutes at time of system set-up y When the engine is turned off, an auxiliary module allows the system to record for another 5 minutes to 14 hours depending on how the system was set up. y The Driver may also record incidents seen using an emergency panic button either on the unit or one mounted covertly, saving 1 Minute * before and after the event trigger that is stored for review. y Optionally, turning on the taxi meter also records a short video and audio clip that is saved until erased by the person responsible for the system and recorded data. (unit connects to the “HIRED” relay output of the taxi meter) * The Fleet Manager or Security Manager can choose pre event recording di time ti off either ith 1 1,2, 2 or 3 minutes i t att titime off system t sett up. >To prevent tampering or un-authorized access to the unit or the remo able SD card, removable card a locking cabinet option is a available. ailable y Continuous recording and manually or automatically generated alarms share the same memory space. y As alarms are generated by the Driver or the G-Sensor, these alarms take priority over the continuously recorded video and audio. y These alarms may not be overwritten and are manually erased only using g a PC. y A chime and message alerts the user that near total capacity of the SD card has been reached. y Once capacity has been reached, files not activated by an alarm will begin to be overwritten, overwritten starting with the oldest file date. date y Fleet Management g Delivery Vehicles, Police, Taxi, Limousine, Hotel Shuttles,  School and City Bus, Utility and Municipal Fleets, etc.: Fleet Managers may use the recorded data: ‐to encourage better driving habits ‐to ensure that seat belts are used to ensure that seat belts are used ‐to ensure that the best route has been taken: analyzing traffic and  routes, saving fuel by making any changes y Departmental Safety and Security Management In the case of Fire Service/Fire Brigade: ‐First Responders have their safety and breathing  apparatus in place  i   l ‐ensures that company Driving Directives and Procedures are  followed and adherence to  published policies are easily reviewed ‐recorded video of the travel route to the incident and proper on‐ d d  id   f  h   l      h  i id   d    site actions may be used for training purposes y Fleet Management Delivery Vehicles, Taxi, Limousine, Hotel Shuttles, School  D li  V hi l  T i  Li i  H t l Sh ttl  S h l  and City Bus, Ambulance, Utility and Municipal Fleets,  etc.: ‐Validate the operation of the vehicle (over‐revving of engine if a  manual transmission is used) ‐Driver adherence to any special safety check lists and procedures ‐Study passenger actions ‐Crime deterrent  y Fleet Management Delivery Vehicles, Taxi, Limousine, Hotel Shuttles, School  D li  V hi l  T i  Li i  H t l Sh ttl  S h l  and City Bus, Utility and Municipal Fleets, etc.: ‐Better evaluate package deliveries, bus rider‐ship and routes ‐Ensure that the maximum limit for number of passengers is not  exceeded  ‐Review road traffic to make changes to routes to save fuel and    i improve service   i ‐Enforce rules: prohibited use of cell phones, seat belts, etc. ‐Ensure that taxi drivers are in their designated stand‐by areas  …Reviews alert the Driver to any issues reviewed thereby potentially  preventing an accident y Customer Service Taxi, Limousine, Hotel Shuttles, School and City Bus,  T i  Li i  H t l Sh ttl  S h l  d Cit  B   Ambulance, Law Enforcement. Fleet Managers may use  the recorded data: ‐Encourage good driving behavior and interaction with the public ‐Resolve and respond to any complaints from customers, passengers,      etc. ‐Ensure that company procedures were properly followed ‐Validate driver’s knowledge of the City Continuous recording of two cameras with audio assists the Fleet and Risk Manager  g f g to determine what actually happened and augment customer  service and driver  training y Training Driving Schools (Delivery, Student, Race Car, Emergency  D i i  S h l  (D li  St d t  R  C  E   Vehicles, Defense Driving). Recorded data may be used: ‐In class to review driving techniques ‐Share techniques as they apply to special situations witnessed by  the system when used ‐In certain instances, use the product for on‐going driver training  after class has been completed (probationary period) ‐Document student progress Comparable systems do not offer continuous recording, only alarm recording, and do  not offer two camera views (front and inside) y Revenue Collection Taxi and Limousine Service.  ‐Ensure that drivers have followed the best route for a collected  fare Use the recorded data to mediate any complaints from customers ‐Ensure that Driver’s operate in their prescribed areas ‐Ensure that  taxi meter is turned on, and where limousine drivers  not using a fare metering system collect all fares Continuous recording with 2 cameras (forward facing and interior) with audio is a  key feature to assist in review. Many systems only record one camera, with no  audio and only when an event (alarm)  has been  triggered. y Handling Complaints Taxi and Limousine, Airport/Parking/Car Rental Shuttle,  T i  d Li i  Ai t/P ki /C  R t l Sh ttl   EMS,  ‐Review driver interaction with customers ‐Respond to any complaints from customers by simply reviewing of  recorded data Continuous  video from two cameras with audio recording is a key requirement,  along with GPS and G Sensor data  to best review incidents and daily events.
