Ganging Bolt-Through Kit Assembly Installation Sheet # 1

V-LINE™ Cabinet Ganging Bolt-Through Kit

Step 1. Position two (2) frames side-to-side, making sure that the fronts or backs of the frames are even.
Step 2. Knockout the ganging hole on the frame upright with required tool.
Step 3. Insert a hex head bolt through the frame upright, and then through the opposite frame upright. Attach the serrated flange nut to the hex head bolt, finger tighten.
Step 4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for the remaining five (5) sets of ganging hardware. Note that there are ganging positions at the top and bottom of the frame uprights, along with two (2) locations near the center. Use the top, bottom, and one of the center locations for ganging the frames together.
Step 5. Finally, make sure the frames are aligned and tighten the six (6) sets of ganging hardware.
Step 6. Replacement Ganging Kit can be ordered using #VLGK.

Bottom Filter Panel Assembly Item No. 1. 2. 3.

Installation Sheet # 2
Step 1. Position the bottom filter panel assembly into the bottom opening, inside the frame, and match the panel and frame holes.
Step 2. Install the four (4) #10-32 X 3/8” pan head screws, two (2) on each side.
Step 3. Install the four (4) #10-32 nuts to mount the panel inside the frame.
Step 4. There is one (1) 131/4” X 171/2” X 7/8” replaceable filter (Cooper B-Line code # E028740) secured on the panel with two (2) front & rear brackets, and four (4) quarter turns. Filter can be replaced by taking off the front bracket only.
Step 5. There is one (1) configurable Cable Entry Knockout (KO) Plate (p/n VOZIP) supplied with your bottom filter panel. VOZIP plate has three (3) 2-1/2” & 3” cluster KO's. These KO's can be used with Cooper B-Line plastic bushings: p/n E013606 & E018757 or can be removed and replaced with Cooper B-Line cable brush strip (p/n VBCOK).

Split Side Panel Assembly Installation Sheet # 3

Component Description V-LINE™ Cabinet Split Panel Assembly Kit
(pages 6 & 7)
Step 1. Position the center support bracket in the center of the side frame and mount on the square holes by four (4) cage nuts and four (4) dog point screws.
Step 2. Insure that the two (2) quarter turns latches are in the unlocked position.
Step 3. Insert the bottom edge of the top side panel into the top of center support bracket. It helps if the top of the panel is angled away from the frame.
Step 4. Tilt the top of the side panel up and into the frame.

Door Assembly Installation Sheet # 4

Component Description V-LINE™ Cabinet Solid Door Assembly

Step 1. Remove the door clamping pin and the frame nuts from the two (2) hinges.
Step 2. Remove the hinges from the door.
Step 3. Insert the hinge posts through the holes in the left frame upright (if door is right handed) & right frame upright (if door is left handed).
Step 4. Install the frame nuts on the hinge studs from inside the frame upright. (Use 6 Nm or 53 in-lbs torque for nuts). Repeat the same for remaining hinge.

Step 5. Align the door hinge cut outs with the hinges and insert a clamping pin through the hinge mounting hole on the inside of the door. Insert from the top going down; orient one of the flat faces of the clamping pin against the door. Repeat the same for remaining hinge.

Offset Mounting Rail Kit Assembly Installation Sheet # 5

Component Description V-LINE™ Cabinet Offset Mounting Rail Kit Assembly

Step 1. Install the three (3) offset bracket per rail on left or right side of cabinet front using three (3) 1/4”-20 lock nuts and three (3) 1/4”-20 x 1” bolts. Note: 24U cabinet has two (2) mounting points or two (2) offset brackets per EIA rail.
Step 2. Ensure that the all brackets are in vertical line and on the desired position from front or rear upright.
Step 3. Position the EIA mounting rail inside the cabinet and match the holes with brackets. Ensure that EIA rail should be in the center of the cabinet opening on front or rear and should be installed perpendicular to the floor.
Step 4. Install the EIA rail on brackets using three (3) 11ga washer plates, six (6) 1/4”-20 x 1” bolts, and six (6) 1/4”-20 serrated flange nuts.

Step 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for EIA rail on the rear side. EIA rail should be centered in the top and bottom of cabinet opening.
Step 6. Opposite side EIA rail should be installed directly on the struts as shown in figure using three (3) 1/4”-20 lock nuts, three (3) 1/4”-20 flat washers, and three (3) 1/4-20 x 3/4” mounting bolts.
Step 7. Ensure that front and rear rails on left and right side should be horizontally in same line.

Component Description V-LINE™ Cabinet Frame Assembly Adjustable Leveling Feet #12-24 Cage Nuts & Screws
Installing and Adjusting Leveling Feet Step 1. Tilt the frame assembly onto its side.
Step 2. From the bottom, install the four (4) adjustable guides into the corners of the frame base. For better stability, the adjustable guides should be inserted as-far-as possible into the frame.
Step 3. Stand up the frame assembly.
Step 4. Level the frame by rotating the four (4) adjusting guides up or down. This can be done from the top using a regular screwdriver or from the bottom side using a 5/8” open-end wrench.
Step 5. Replacement Leveling Feet/Adjustable Guide can be ordered using #AJF-PK.

Frame Assembly

Adjusting EIA Rails Step 6. To adjust the EIA rails, slightly loosen the three (3) mounting bolts per rail. Tap on the heads of the mounting bolts to disengage the strut channel nuts. Note: the 24U cabinet has two (2) mounting bolts per EIA rail.
Step 7. Slide the EIA rails into the desired position. Ensure that the rails are installed perpendicular to the floor.
Step 8. Tighten the EIA rail mounting bolts.
Installing Cable Access Plates Step 9. There are four (4) configurable VOZIP cable access plates supplied with your frame. Each VOZIP plate has three (3) 21/2” & 3” cluster KO's. These KO's can be used with plastic bushings: p/n E013603 & E018757 or can be removed and replaced with a cable brush strip (p/n VBCOK).

Step 1. Place the door, face down, on a flat surface. Be careful not to scratch the front of the door. 1

Remove the cam mounting screw from the rear of the swing handle.
Step 3. Remove the cam from the rear of the swing handle. 3

Remove the stop washer bushing from the rear of the swing handle, rotate it 90° and replace it. This allows the swing handle to rotate 90° in the other direction.
Step 5. Replace the cam, facing towards the center of the door, onto the rear of the swing handle.

Step 6. Replace the cam mounting screw into the rear of the swing handle.

Step 7. Remove the two (2) mounting screws from the rear of the swing handle.
Step 8. 7
Remove the swing handle through the front of the door, rotate the handle 180° and replace.

Door Orientation Instructions Changing Left to Right Orientation (Solid, Acrylic, Vented Acrylic, and High Flow)

Step 10. Remove the door clamping pin and the frame nuts from the two (2) hinges.
Step 11. Remove the hinges from the door.
Step 12. Insert the hinge studs through the holes in the right frame upright, unless re-configured for a left hinged installation, then use the left upright. Ensure that the hinges are oriented as shown.
Step 13. Install the frame nuts through the hinge post holes from inside the frame upright. (Use 6 Nm or 53 in-lbs torque for the nuts) Repeat for the second hinge.
Step 14. Align the door hinge cut-outs with the hinges and insert a clamping pin through the hinge mounting hole on the inside of the door. Insert from the top going down; orient the round face of the clamping pin into the corner of the door. Repeat for the second hinge.

3-Point Door Latch Kit Assembly Installation Sheet # 8

Step 1. Place the door face down on a flat surface. Be careful not to scratch the front of the door.
Step 2. Remove the cam mounting screw from the rear of the swing handle.
Step 3.

Insert the cam adapter over the cam.
Step 4. Replace the cam mounting screw into the rear of the swing handle.
Step 5. Attach the plastic rod guides onto the inside of the door, one near the top and the other near the bottom. Leave about 1/16” (.063) of space between the rod guide and the door. Orient the rod guide as shown.

Step 6. Remove the two (2) 'C' clips from the cam adapter.
Step 7. Insert the top rod pointed end through the rod guide and insert the hole in the flared end onto the cam adapter post. Repeat for the bottom rod. 5

Step 8. Replace the two (2) 'C' clips onto the cam adapter.

Step 1. Install four (4) cage nuts, on the inside of the frame top panel opening, in the second square cutout from each end. Install the remaining four (4) cage nuts in the cutout that is 45/8” away from the first set, towards the center of the opening.
Step 2. Insert the top panel into the frame opening, from above.
Step 3. Install the eight (8) #12-24 pan head screws. Note that the top panel opening fits standard 24” (609mm) panels per EIA-310-D. Installed Cage Nuts Front & Back

Bottom Panel Assembly Installation Sheet # 10

Installation Sheet # 11
Step 1. The base of the frame must be off the ground for caster installation. Either use the adjustable glides to raise the frame or tilt the frame over onto its side.
Step 2. From inside the frame, angle a swivel caster through the cutout in the base.
Step 3. Position the caster mounting slots over the four (4) threaded studs around the cutout.
Step 4. Attach four (4) serrated flange nuts onto the studs; finger tighten.
Step 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for the remaining three (3) swivel casters.
Step 6. Tighten the sixteen (16) serrated flange nuts.
Step 7. Replacement Caster kit (includes 4 Casters) can be ordered using #VCK
Step 8. (options) Option 1. If cabinet has been set on its side - screw the leveling feet up and raise the cabinet onto the casters. Option 2. If cabinet has been standing and the casters are installed use an open end wrench, turn the leveling feet up to allow cabinet to roll on the casters.

Replacement Cable Access Kit Assembly Installation Sheet # 12

Component Description V-LINE™ Cabinet Cable Access, 21/2” & 3” KO’s #8-32 x 3/8” Roll Form Screws
Step 1. Remove the existing VOZIP cable access plate from the top of the frame or from the bottom panel.
Step 2. Place the replacement cable access plate over the cutout. The VOZIP must be on top of the frame or bottom panel.
Step 3. Install the two (2) roll form screws.
Step 4. The configurable VOZIP cable access plate has three (3) 21/2” & 3” cluster KO’S. These KO’S can be used with Cooper B-Line plastic bushings (p/n E013606 & E018757) or can be removed and replaced with a Cooper B-Line cable brush strip (p/n VBCOK).

Step 1. From inside the frame, install a heavy duty mount over the caster cutout in the base.
Step 2. Position the heavy duty mount over the four (4) threaded studs around the cutout.
Step 3. Attach four (4) serrated flange nuts onto the studs; finger tighten.
Step 4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the remaining three (3) seismic mounts.
Step 5. Tighten the sixteen (16) serrated flange nuts.

Vertical Baffle Assembly Installation Sheet # 16

V-LINE™ Cabinet Vertical Baffle Assembly Removable Plastic Push Rivets

Step 1. Working from inside the V-LINE Cabinet, install the V-Line vertical baffle behind the front EIA rail, between the rail and the mounting strut.
Step 2. The brush needs to be angled away from the front of the cabinet and towards the side panel.
Step 3. Insert five (5) removable plastic push rivets, through the vertical baffle and into the EIA rail. Push the rivet pin into the rivet body, seating into place.
Step 4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for the second vertical baffle.

Outer handle bezel
Step 1. Remove the inner swing handle from the outer handle bezel and pass the outer handle bezel through the lower handle cutout aperture.
Step 2. Engage the lip on the inside of the outer handle bezel into the bottom handle cutout taking care not to trap or damage the integrated sensor aerial cable.

Fit the lock gearbox molding to the inside of the door securing to the handle using the two self tapping screws provided.
Step 4. Carefully position the handle electronic housing on the inside of the door ensuring the fixing holes line up. Secure in position using the two long self tapping screws being careful not to over tighten the fixings screws which can cause the housing to distort. Ensure that the aerial cable is not trapped or damaged.
Step 5. Refit the inner swing handle to the outer handle bezel and ensure that the inner swing handle bezel sits flush when in the closed position.
Step 6. From the inside, add the top and bottom locking rods to the gearbox, then add the top piece and screw the long machine screw including serrated washer into the handle but making sure it has located onto the square boss.

Notes
Warning: To avoid tipping when loaded, the frame should be permanently secured to the floor through the mounting points on the bottom of the frame. Each corner should be fastened using a minimum 3/8” bolt size and correct anchoring devices to accommodate the specific type of flooring.
