he TTC® T-BERD® 209OSP meets the exclusive testing requirements of the outside plant technician. Combining T1/ISDN/DDS/HDSL BERT, TDR, and DVOM, the T-BERD 209OSP is a complete tool for qualifying and troubleshooting digital loops. By adding optional FT1 support, pre-programmed intelligent equipment commands, and HDSL loop qualification, you have the most flexible, all-in-one solution for outside plant testing.
• Full Span Transmitter and Receiver Identify marginal troubles with standard T1 stress patterns at various output levels. Easily access signal and error information. Ohms Measurements Quickly identify physical impairments, such as opens, shorts, grounds, and one-side faults with automated resistance measurements between tip, ring, and ground.
Easy TDR Set Up Simply select the cable type and approximate cable length to configure the TDR for use. Avoid the cumbersome process of determining complex constants, such as pulse width and pulse height.
Amps Measurements Immediately detect one-side faults, such as opens and grounds, with an automated current measurement between tip and ring. Volts Measurements Quickly isolate bad repeaters and span powering problems with automated voltage measurements.

209OSP-4 Advanced Stress Patterns Option Stress repeater ALBO circuits with 55 OCTET, T1 DALY, and other long user patterns as recommended by the ANSI T1.403 standard.

209OSP-9 ISDN/DDS Analyzer Option Now you can qualify ISDN and DDS pairs during installation – avoiding kickbacks and missed dates. With the new ISDN/DDS testing option, your T-BERD 209OSP will power-up and BERT the entire span. This will enable you to detect troublesome bridged taps, load coils, wiring problems, and bad repeaters prior to the customer due date. Full Span DDS Transmitter and Receiver Perform BER measurements for 2.4, 4.8, 9.6, 56.0, and 64.0 kb/s service on both primary and secondary channels. Identify marginal troubles with all standard DDS patterns at various output levels.

Full Span ISDN U Interface Perform BER measurements for Basic Rate ISDN service. Qualify the local loop for 2B+D service – locating troublesome load coils and bridged taps.
