In some installations, it may be desirable to disable this option. To configure the Keypad to disable the Skip Next button, connect on port 23 and use the command KP6SkipNext true|false KP6SkipNext true is the current behavior where a short press skips tracks on the selected source in the zone the KP6 is controlling KP6SkipNext false is the requested behavior where a short press does nothing. It will blink at you. A press and hold of the button will toggle the current amplifiers source in both scenarios. Mirage Amplifiers 1 Allow KP-6 Keypad Presets to Act as Source Selection By default, on the Autonomic KP-6, the numbered preset buttons (Buttons #1 through #4) act as Presets. In some installations, it may be desirable to have these numbered buttons select a Source rather than a Preset. To configure the Keypad to toggle between Source and Preset modes, connect on port 23 and use the command KP6SourceSelection true|false KP6SourceSelection true turns source selection on. KP6SourceSelection false turns source selection off (defaults back to preset mode). When in Source Selection mode, a short press on a numbered button will switch to that source. Sources 5-8 are accessible with a long press. For example, a short press on #2 switches to Source 2 while a long press on #2 switches to Source 6. Selecting a source which doesn't exist will always revert to Source 1. Allow KP-6 Keypad Presets to Act as Source Selection 2 Mirage Amplifier Doorbell Preset Wiring Both the M-400 and M-800 series amplifiers offer a doorbell feature. With this feature a preset doorbell sound can be played out of a select group of zones or all the zones in the system by triggered contact closure. The type of doorbell sound, volume level and zones will be configured under the doorbell tab on the amplifier web configuration page. WARNING: Navigating to the doorbell tab will cause the doorbell preset sound to play out of the amplifier, this sound may be really loud and cause damage to your speakers. It is recommended that you do not navigate to the doorbell page without first disconnecting the speakers! The doorbell is triggered by applying a 12 volt signal to P1 or P2 respectively, P1 will trigger the doorbell sound in all zones while P2 will trigger the doorbell sound in zones selected in the configuration page. The doorbell will sound once voltage is applied then removed, allowing the doorbell function to operate in both a normally open or a normally closed trigger configuration. Normally open configuration (30 seconds of source mute): Once the circuit is closed the currently playing audio source will mute for 30 seconds and doorbell sound will be heard. (If muting the source audio for 30 seconds is undesirable it is recommended that you use the Normally closed configuration and a relay device that will convert the normally open circuit to a normally closed circuit (see illustration B) (Illustration A. Normally open or Normally closed with no light) Normally Open --OR-Normally Closed Will operate in the same manner. Doorbell sound will be heard once contact is opened again. If contact is left closed music source will resume instantly after doorbell sound is heard. If contact is left open music source will resume after 30 seconds of doorbell sound. Illustration B. Normally closed using relay and no 30 second delay, no light) Mirage Amplifier Doorbell Preset Wiring 3 This is the method of doorbell wiring with an Altronix RB5 or similar relay board. This relay board will convert the normally open doorbell button to a normally closed, eliminating the 30 second mute. Music source will resume instantly after doorbell is heard using this setup. (Illustration C. Normally open or Normally closed with light) Normally Open --OR-Normally Closed Doorbell with light can be used if the light is wired separately from the doorbell button in the manner illustrated. If an LED light is used wire it in series with a current limiting resistor. Will operate in the same manner. Doorbell sound will be heard once contact is opened again. If contact is left closed music source will resume instantly after doorbell sound is heard. If contact is left open music source will resume after 30 seconds of doorbell sound. Mirage Amplifier Doorbell Preset Wiring 4 How to Update Amplifier Firmware Updated: 06/22/2015 Category: Mirage Amplifiers Products: Mirage M800, M400 Use the following procedure to update the firmware on your Mirage Audio System amplifiers. Your settings will NOT be erased. Please leave your amps fully attached and connected. Requirement: A USB cable with a mini connector. This is the same cable used by most external hard drives and digital cameras. It looks like this. Download the firmware here: http://www.autonomic-controls.com/documents/Amplifiers/Mirage_Amp_Firmware.zip Click HERE to watch a video on updating amplifier firmware 1. Plug the amp into your PC. It should prompt you for drivers. 2. If it does not, open the Start menu and proceed to step 3. If it does, skip to step 7. 3. Right click on This PC or My Computer and select Manage. 4. Wait for the window to open and load. Then select Device Manager. 5. You'll see the amp listed with a yellow triangle indicating it does not have a driver. 6. Right click on the amp and select Update Driver Software... 7. Select Browse my computer for driver software and navigate to the directory you unzipped the download to. Select the Drivers folder and select Next. 8. Launch the firmware utility in the ZIP file. The amp model and current firmware will be listed at the bottom of the window. If the amp currently has a firmware less than 1.5, proceed to step 9. If it has 1.5 or higher, skip to step 13. 9. When updapting from firmware prior to 1.5 to 1.5, we have to upload a small part of the system firmware first. This is the AUTONOMIC_MODEL_1.5.fw file in the download. 10. Go to the Components tab. Direct the System Firmware field to where that file is located. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE CORRECT MODEL. 11. Uncheck all components except System Firmware. 12. Click Update. The amp will take this incremental update and reboot. Please wait 5 minutes before proceeding. 13. On the Image tab, direct the utility to the .img file for your amp model. 14. Select Update. The utility will erase the current firmware and upload the new image. If an error occurrs during this process, disconnect the USB cable and wait 5 minutes before trying again. Once the amp is reboots after the image finishes uploading, you can browse to it over the network as always and verify it is on the proper firmware. How to Update Amplifier Firmware 5 Mirage Amplifier Expansion Cable Length The expansion cable between a stack of amplifier should be no longer than half a meter. A expansion cable longer than the recommend size will result in issues including zone's not properly populating in the amplifier configuration page.
