RS Epos Version 3 Till Peripherals This guide documents installing and configuring Till peripherals, this is NOT a comprehensive list of peripherals supported by the software ,and does not document installation all known peripherals, rather the set-up and installation of the core devices. Each device is different and has its own drivers (both Windows and OPOS) that may act differently and requires different settings. This guide aims to give the reader a broad overview of the process NOT a complete “How-To”, if in doubt please contact the device manufacture. Should the need arise these can be freely downloaded from http://monroecs.com/oposccos_current.htm. About OPOS The OPOS Interface sits between the Epos system and the manufacturers drivers, allowing the Epos software to connect to a standardised interface. This gives grater flexibility and allows for a larger number of devices to be supported. OPOS devices include POS Printers, Cash Draws, Customer Display Units, to name just a few. OPOS doesn’t use the standard Microsoft Windows drivers, the appropriate OPOS driver needs to be obtained from the device manufacture. Installing an Epson TMT88v printer using OPOS Do NOT install the printer in Windows Printers and Faxes beforehand, as OPOS requires exclusive access to the printer to function. Install the ADK267E R4.EXE Epson OPOS driver manually. This will complete the connection between the Common OPOS drivers and the printer specific OPOS drivers. The TMT88 OPOS driver can be found on the installation disk in the SUPPORT APPS folder or from the Epson web-site. Double click to run and install the driver. This effectively means that the printer’s use is dedicated to EPOS use only and will not be available for use with other Windows applications.
