Fig.: Carefully fit and tighten the screw connector on the radio antenna to the transmitter PCB (small plug-in board). Commissioning The receiver PCB is on the right-hand side of the unit, seen from the air inlet. Connect the radio antenna by fixing the cable to the socket provided on the small PCB in the door air curtain (see Figure). The antenna is held in place by a magnetic foot and can be positioned anywhere on the housing. Choose a position where the reception is optimum. It is important that the antenna cannot be accessed by an unauthorised person. Transmitter/receiver coding: Switch on the power supply at the socket and plug the plug into the socket. You have 1 minute to code the unit once power has been connected. If coding has not been completed within this time, it can be repeated after reconnecting the power supply (remove and re-insert the plug). Do so close to the door air curtain to check that coding has been performed correctly. A control unit can control up to 8 units. Switching-on 0-1-2-3 Summer mode (Air circulation) Valve is closed blue red Switch off 3-2-1-0 Winter mode (heating) valve is open (only with fan operation) Logging into the control unit (transmitter): Insert the power plug back into the 230 V/50 Hz socket The yellow LEDs now flash cyclically on the PCB (see Fig.) Press and hold down (any) two diagonally opposing buttons on the control unit simultaneously for longer than one second. The door air curtain can be controlled from the control uni following successful coding. Log out of the control unit (transmitter): Unplug the mains plug. Plug the power plug back into the 230 V/50 Hz socket. The yellow LEDs now flash cyclically on the PCB (see Fig.) Press and hold down all four buttons simultaneously for longer than a second. After coding, the door air curtain no longer responds to the remote control. 23 24 Remote Radio Control | Operation, External Control, Digital Inputs Kampmann Assembly and Installation Instructions - Tandem DE Door Air Curtain Operation As the control unit does not have any display elements, such as LEDs, the battery has a life of about 10 years. You can mount the control unit in a position with good reception using the self-adhesive film on the rear. Do not mount on surfaces made of metal as its function would be severely impaired or no longer work. The control unit has a range of 100 m, if no obstacles affect transmission. External control The radio control offers the option of using external, potential-free NO contacts to access the control. Digital inputs on the control module mounted on the door air curtain are available for this purpose. The digital inputs can be used to perform the following functions: Digital input 1 (External activation): It is possible to activate the door air curtain via an external potential-free NO contact, like a timer. Digital input activated: all control unit functions are enabled. Digital input deactivated: all control unit functions are locked. The fan is switched off and the valve is closed. Caution! After enabling, re-select the fan speed on the control unit. Digital input 2 (fixed stage 2) There is an option to fix the fan in stage 2 using an external potential-free NO contact, like a room or external thermostat. The valve is opened. The control unit is deactivated. Digital input 3 (increase fan stage) There is an option to fix the fan stage selected on the control unit at a single stage using an external potential-free NO contact, like a door contact switch. The fan stage is not increased if fan stage 0 is selected on the control unit. Priorities of digital inputs: Digital input 1 higher than digital input 3, but lower than digital input 2 Digital input 2 higher than digital input 1, but lower than digital input 3 Digital input 3 higher than digital input 2, but lower than digital input 1 Remote Radio Control | Status Messages, Control Stage Selection Kampmann Assembly and Installation Instructions - Tandem DE Door Air Curtain Status messages: A yellow LED on the PCB displays the status messages: LED lights up: Digital input 1 (external activation) is selected and Digital input 2 (fixed stage 2) is not selected. LED flashes: Digital input 2 (fixed level 2) is selected. The status of digital input 1 (external activation) is irrelevant. LED flashes quickly: Digital input 1 (external activation) is not selected and digital input 2 (fixed stage 2) is not selected. LED is off: Power supply is disconnected. Actions: Is the plug inserted? Check on-site circuit-breakers. Check the fuse on the board. Selection of fan stages in the three control stages Door air curtains have 5 fan speeds as standard. The remote control can be used to operate the door air curtain between 3 stages. Fan stages 2, 3 and 5 are factory-set as active (factory setting). It is possible to select other fans speeds on the terminal block by swapping the connectors (see example). Caution!
