The followingproceduresdescribethe installationof RevolvingConnectionService Kit 659282. 1. Rotatethe attachmentto positionthe arms sideby side. Extendthe arms outsidethe width of the frame. 2. Removethe lowermountinghooks, For reassembly, tightenthe lowermountinghookcapscrewsto a torqueof: C2R C3R,C3P C4R,C4P C6R,C6P -

3. Set the attachmenton a pallet. Tilt the mast Forwardand backaway to accessthe revolvingconnectionhoses. NOTE: IF the attachmentis equippedwith forks, set a 1000 lb.weighton the forks to holdthe attachment upright.

WARNING: Before removing any hoses, relieve pressure in the hydraulic system. Turn the truck off, then open the truck auxiliary control valve(s) several times in both directions.

Removethe cylinderanchornutsas follows: Remove the spring retainer.
LOCKING CONE STYLE Pry NUTS: the locking cones completely awayfrom the slotin the rod endwith a screwdriver or small punch. If the nut lockingconeis removal,the nut mustbe replaced. damaged during SPRING RETAINER STYLE NUTS: Removethe spring retainer andnut from the cylinderrod end. NOTE: Spring retainer style nuts can be converted to lockingconenutsby installingoneof the following service kite: C2R - 666247 C3R- 666247 C4R- 665601 C6R - 665603 7.

Remove oil and dirt from the cylinderrod andretainer
with cleaningsolvent. 8.

Mark the rod and retainer.
Mark the rod andretainer as shownwith a markingpen. Do not use scratches"to mark. The marks on the rod andretainer mustremainlined upduringanchornut removal. Install a chain loop around the carriers to restrict arm travel. The chain must meet or exceed the work load rating specificationshownet right. Power the arm out againstthe chainswhileperformingStep 10.

Chain Work Load Rating- Lbs. (one loop - two equal tension legs) 15.000
Whenpoweringthe arms out againstthe chains,a high friction area is beingcreatedagainstthe arm lug,
counterbored washer and cylinder rod shoulder. This shouldkeepthe rod from turningwhileremovingthe nut.
WARNING: The chain must meet or exceed the work load rating specifications in the chart.

10. Removethe anchor nuts.If the rod has turned during nut removal,the cylindermustbe disassembled to retighten the piston nut to a torque of: C2R C3R,C3P C4R,C9P C6R,C6P -

WARNING: Failure to retighten the piston nut ifthe rod has rotated during disassembly may cause rod disengagement from the piston. Piston Nut
Remove the , anchor nut. Q
11. Disconnectthe hosesfrom the cylinderfittings. Remove the cylindersFromthe Frame. 12. Removethe,retainer plateandrevolvingconnectionFrom the Frame.
lnstallat ion 1. Installthe new retainer plateandrevolvingconnectionto the Frame. Tightenthe retainer platecapscrewsto a torqueOf 8 Ft.-lbs. Therevolvingconnectionshaft hole must engagethe keeperbar pin with the ‘X’ positioned as shown. NOTE: the ‘X” positionis different for RevolvingClampsandPaperRoll Clamps. 2.
ConnecthosesandFittingsto the revolvingconnectionas shownbelowandon the next page. NOTE: Revolving ClampsandPaperRoll Clamps have different hosing arrangements.Hoselengthsrequiredare listed.

Install the cylindersto the Frame. Connectthe hosesto the cylinderFittingsas shownbelowForRevolving Clamps.See the next pageForPaperRoll Clamps.

Make sure spring retainer is in place

Install the cylinder rod washer. If the anchor nut is the lockingcone type, the rod washer must be installed with the counterbore facing the nut, Engagethe rod end into the arm lug. Apply anti-seize compoundto the rod threads. With the chain looparound the arms, power the attachment arms out against the chains while installing and tighten the nuts as follows:
LOCKING CONE STYLE NUTS: Install the nut and

tighten to a torque of 130-150 ft.-tbs. Lock the nut in placeby staking the lockingcone into the rod end slot with a case hardened chisel. Positive engagementis required. The nut will not be tight against the lug.
SPRING RETAINER STYLE NUTS: Tighten the nut until it bottoms against thewasher, then back off to allow 5/32 in. clearance between the washer and lug. Install the spring retainer.
5.
Further assembly is the reversal of disassembly.
