Allowed maximum install two pieces of CO line board, and have 8 CO line ports in each CO line card, maximum have 16 CO lines. The port order of No.1 CO line board are 01~08 from the bottom up; the No.2 CO line board are 09~16 from the bottom up. The line will priority enter the idle lower CO line port when internal extension make the external call. To reduce the CO lines are occupied by the outgoing calls, we suggest to connect the high-frequency used CO lines that for external call incoming to the higher CO line port Arrester is a device to be installed on outside (CO) line to prevent a damaging from thunder. We recommend to install arrester. In addition, grounding (connection to earth ground) is very important to protect the system. Maximum allowed connect with sixteen extension cards, have 8 extension ports in each board, total have 128 extensions. The port order of each extension board is increased from the bottom up, The No.1 card are 01~08, the No.2 board are 09~16 from the bottom up, thus analogically. We are recommend to installed the arrester for extension lines when the extension lines are expose at outdoor. The connection way of model AK,HK,VK are almost as same as DK, please refer above chart when connecting. 2. We recommend equip arrester for CO lines and Extensions; 3. Keep away from AC power source when install the telephone cables. 4. Avoid using the same power supply outlet for computers, telexs, and other office equipment. Otherwise, the system operation may be interrupted by the induction noise. 5.Unplug the system during install or remove the expansion boards, and the boards should be install or remove vertically to avoid short circuit. 6. After starting the system, if the system does not operate properly, restart the system. If the system still does not operate properly, please contact with our agent or dealer. 7 Section 2 System Programming 2.1 General Programming Instructions 2.1.1 This system has a default factory setting. If any of the programming needs to be changed, the user can change the setting by system programming. 2.1.2 System programming can only be performed from extension 8001. 2.1.3 The user should input the password to enter the system programming. 2.1.4 Press * to start programming a system setting. Enter the code and parameters for changing a system setting. Press # to complete the programming of a system setting. To correct a wrong system setting, press * to do the programming of a system setting again. There is no need to hang up the telephone. 2.1.5 After programming a system setting, a long confirmation tone is sent indicates that the system setting has been successful. A series of short "Beeps" tone is sent indicates that the system setting was unsuccessful. Description: Allows the user to enter system programming by system program password,suppose the password is 1234 . * * Pick up 8001 0 1 1 2 3 4 # Input ** 01 1234 # Du programming If the user has entered into the programming mode by password, the user should not hang up extension 8001 until all the desired system settings have been modified, otherwise the user has to input the password again to enter into the programming mode. 2.4 Change System Program Password Format: * 02 ABCD # ABCD = New password (Default password = 1234) Example, you want to change the password to 0000 : * 0 2 0 0 0 0 # Pick up 8001(unlock) Input * 0 2 0 0 0 0 # Du Hang up Example: The default password is 1234. We suggest to change the password before using the PABX. Suppose the user needs to change the password again to 1111, the user should input ** 01 5 6 7 8 # to enter the system, then input * 02 1111 # to change the password to 1111. When you forget program password, please contact with your dealer to restore the password by Remote Program function. 2.5 Restore To Default Mode Format: * 6 000 # Description:This format to restore the system to avoid useless data left after testing. Note: This format is not restore the CO line Open mode, Extension Number and Call Bill Memory. 9 Section 2 System Programming 2.6 Extension Port Enable/Disable To Compatible With Key Phone Format: * 84 ABCD M # ABCD = Extension Number M=0= Use Single Line Telephone M=1= Use Key Telephone Description: Initially enable connect key phone or single line phone with any extension port of PABX, auto-configure after power ON, dispense with assignment. Certain extension port change from Key phone to Single Line phone, require input * 84 ABCD 0# on Key Phone that connect with 001 port. (001 is un-lock). To reduce the CO lines are occupied by the outgoing calls , we suggest to connect the high-frequency used CO lines that for external call incoming to the higher CO line port 4. The CO line can be connected do not accord to the order, for example, we can connect CO line 1,2,5,6,7,8, leave the port 3 and 4 are vacant. 2.11 Disable No.2 CO Line Card Format * 32 # Description: When the No.2 CO line card is not installed or it has not CO line, please close/disable it to avoid no response when pick up extension. 2.12 Disable All CO Lines Format * 3 # Description When no CO line card is installed or CO line card has not CO line, please close all CO lines to make PABX is at Intercom mode. Reverse Charge: PC software will start to charge only when called party is lifts the handset. You should apply Reverse Charge service from Telecom Office first. 2.70 Second Outward Code Format * 97 A MN # A = Second outward code = 1 to 8 MN = Special CO line serial port number = 01to 16 When the user make external call by second outward code, the system will autosearch CO line start from MN. Description: Have two kinds of CO lines from different telecom office. Such as normal CO line and VOIP CO line (special CO line). The user can select VOIP line to make external call (Refer 3.3 page 37), if the selected VOIP line is busy, the user has to select CO line again. To more convenient operating, the user can make external call by dial second outward code, thus the system will auto search free CO line start from MN. Example: Have seven normal CO lines port 1 to port 7, and five VOIP lines port 8 to port 12 (MN=08). You can assign auto-search VOIP CO line by dial 3 ( A =3). * Pick up 8001 and unlock 9 7 3 0 8 # Input * 97 3 08 # Du Hang up 1. Prefix digit of extension number is not allowed as same as the second outward code. Example, second outward code is 3, any extension number with prefix digit 3 are invalid. 2. When dial second outward code, the line will not enter normal CO line, but auto-search free special CO line start from MN. 3. The user can use special CO line that in self-group only. 4. Mode 2 Direct dial external number Description: Dial external number directly when the extension is at direct external dial mode (Refer 2.53 page 29) Mode 3 # MN (Select Line) MN = 01~16 Description: Dial # first, then dial desired CO line port number, the Ext will enter that CO line if the CO line is free, otherwise send the busy tone. Example A: Direct external dial mode extension 8008 make external call. * Pick up extension 8008 * Dial external number after hear external dial tone Example B: Non-direct external dial mode extension 8008 make external call. * Pick up extension 8008 * Dial 0 after hear internal dial tone * Dial external number after hear external dial tone Example C: The user of extension 8008 make external call by CO line 3 * Pick up extension 8008 * Dial # 03 after hear internal dial tone * Dial external number after hear external dial tone 1. In the case the user needs to dial * or # button when he wants to use some special service from telecom office (such as Call Forwarding), to avoid the conflicts with some functions of our PABX, the user can enter the CO line by select desired CO line (above mode 3) first, then do other operating relate with telecom office. 2. Model AK,HK can use # M to select CO line. Example, select CO line 3, input # 3, its functions is as same as input # 03. 3. By press CO line shortcut key directly when use key phone. 37 Section 3 Operation 3.4 Answer External Call By Ringing Extension At operator attendant mode The assigned ringing extension(s) will ring when has external call on CO line. Pick up ringing extension to answer the call directly. At Auto-attendant mode Non of extensions will ring, external caller is listening outgoing message, caller can dial desired extension number, the corresponding extension will ring, pick up that extension to answer the call. Ringing Pick up Talking with CO line Hang up 3.5 Answer External Call By Non-Ringing Extension ( Call Pick Up) Format 1: # 7 ( Pick up the external calls to self-group) Format 1: # 9 (Pick up external calls to any group) Description: Allows a user of a non-ringing extension to answer a call that is ringing on another extension Use # 7 to pick up external calls to self- group. Use # 9 to pick up external calls to any group. Example: Ext A and Ext.B are in different group is ringing at the same time (external calls are come in), Ext C wants to pick up the call. Suppose C and A are in the same group, extension C can pick up the call to A by format # 7. There are have two cases if C dial # 9. * If the port serial number of extension A is in front of extension B (port serial No.is from 001 to 128), extension C will pick up the call to A first, B will keep ringing. * If the port serial number of extension A is behind extension B, extension C will pick up the call to B first, A will keep ringing. When use Key Telephone, can press the shortcut key that its LED is twinkling fast (0.8s:0.8s) to pick up the external call. 38 Section 3 Operation 3. 6 Transfer External Call To Another Extension Format: Hook Switch + ABCD ABCD = desired extension number Description: Allows an Ext to transfer a received external call to another Ext. Example: Ext 8002 receive an external call, and She wants to transfer this call to extension 8015. 8 Talk EXT.8002 is talking With CO line 8015 Pick up 8002 tap hook-switch Listening Dial Tone 8015 talking With 8002 8002 Hang up 0 1 5 Input 8015 8015 talking with CO line There are 4 different cases when A is transfers an External call to B: a) Ext.A doesn't hang up, Ext. B lifts the handset Communication between A and B is established. The external caller is put on hold with music. Whoever hangs up ( A or B ), the system will transfer the external call to the other. b) Ext.A doesn't hang up, Ext.B doesn't answer within 25 seconds. Ext. A will be reconnected to external caller and Ext B will stop ringing, c) Ext. A hangs up and Ext.B answers external caller within 25 seconds; d) Ext. A hangs up, but Ext. B doesn't answer the external call within 25seconds. The external caller will be transferred back to Ext. A if A is free (If Ext A is busy, The operator extension will ring) if Ext A (or operator Ext) is pick up in 25seconds, the external call will be connected again, if do not answer within 25 seconds, the external call will be released. e) When use Key Telephone, can press the shortcut key of idle extension directly to transfer the call, or can use the Transfer key. We are not suggest to use tap Hook-switch to transfer the call. 39 Section 3 Operation 3.7 Party Conference ( between 2 Exts And 1 CO Line) Format: Hook-switch + * + ABCD ABCD = desired extension number Description: Allows an extension on an external call to add another extension for a 3 party conference call. Example: Extension 8002 is talking with CO line, and 8002 wants to transfer external call to 8015 to build three parties conference * 8 0 1 5 8002 is Tap hook-switch Listen Dial Tone Input *8015 Receive CO line 3-party conference 1. If the time to tap the hook-switch is exceed the assigned flash time, the line will be released. 2. When use Key Telephone, can press Transfer key, then input * ABCD ( ABCD = Desired Extension number). 3.8 Internal Call Transfer Format Hookswitch + ABCD ABCD = Desired extension number Description: An extension transfer an internal call to another extension. Ext.A is receive an internal call from extension B,Ext.A can transfer this call to Ext.C. Ext. A will build internal communication with Ext.C after Ext.C lifts handset, Ext.B is on holding (Ext.B cannot hear the conversation between A and C at the moment),whoever (A or C) party hangs up, the other party will re-connect with Ext.B Example: Ext.8002 is making internal communication with Ext.8036, Ext.8002 wants to transfer the call to Ext.8015. 8 0 1 5 EXT.8002 is talking with Ext.8036 Ext.8002 Tap Hook-switch Listening Internal Dial Tone Input 8015 Ext.8036 is on holding when Ext. 8002 is talking with 8015. Ext.8015 will build communication with Ext.8036 after Ext.8002 is hang up. 40 Section 3 Operation 1. If the time to tap hook-switch is exceed the assigned flash time, the line will be released. 2. After Ext.A tap hook-switch and input extension number of Ext.C, Ext.A will hear busy tone when Ext.C is busy, and the line will be re-connected with Ext.B. There are have following four cases when extension C is free: a. Extension A does not hang up, extension C is lifts handset Ext.A and Ext.C is build internal communication, whoever A or C hangs up, the other party will be connect with B. b. Extension A does not hang up, extension C is lifts handset Ext. A and Ext.C is build internal communication, if B hangs up, A and C will hear busy tone. c. Extension A hangs up, extension C lifts handset Ext. C and Ext.B is build internal communication. d. Extension B hangs up Ext.A will hear busy tone, Ext.C will stop ringing. 3. Press shortcut key of idle extension directly to transfer the call when use key phone, or can use the Transfer key. We do not suggest to use tap Hook-switch to transfer the call. 3.9 Internal Party Conference (Among 3 Extensions) Format Hook-switch + * + ABCD ABCD = Desired extension number Description: Ext.A is receive an internal call from Ext.B, Ext.A is transfer call to another Ext.C, Ext.A, B and C will build three parties conference. Whoever A or C is hangs up, the other party will remain communicate with Ext.B. Example: Ext 8002 is talking with Ext 8065, they want to add Ext 8015 to build three parties conference. * 8 0 1 5 8002 is talking 8002 tap Listen Dial Tone Input *8015 3-party conference with 8065 hook-switch Ext. 8065 is on holding when Ext.8002 is transferring call to Ext.8015. After Ext.8015 lifts handset, three parties conference will be built. No matter during the call transfer or after three parties conference has been set up, the line will be released when Ext.B is hangs up. 41 Section 3 Operation 3.10 Extension Call Operator Format 1: 9 ( At non-direct external dial mode) Format 2: * 9 (At direct external dial mode) Description: Allows extension to call the operator. Example: Ext. 6013 wants to contact with hotel restaurant, but he does not know its extension number, he can contact with operator first by dial 9, the operator will transfer his call to restaurant directly. Maximum of two operator extensions (Refer 2.24,2.25 page 16), internal call will enter No.1 operator by dial 9, when No.1 operator is busy, the call will be auto-transferred to No.2 operator. If both of operators are busy, call transfer will be failure. 3.11 Busy Transfer Format # * 1 ABCD ABCD = Destination extension number Example Director(Ext.8118)can assign busy transfer to his secretary(Ext.8119), when Ext.8118 is busy, other calls to Ext.8118 will be transferred to Ext.8119. # 1 8 * Pick up 8118 1 1 9 Input # * 1 8119 Du Hang up * Suppose the secretary Ext.8119 has assigned Busy Transfer to Ext.8117. When Ext.8119 is busy, the call to director Ext.8118 will not keep transfer to extension 8117. * Only the last Busy Transfer assignment is valid. * When use Key Telephone, can enter menu PROGRAM, then select Working State to do assignment. 3.12 Cancel Busy Transfer Format # * 1 00 Example: The user of extension8118 wants to cancel Busy Transfer. # Pick up 8118 * 1 0 0 Input # * 1 00 Du Hang up * When use Key Telephone, can enter menu PROGRAM, then select Working State to do Clear. 42 Section 3 Operation 3.13 Unconditional Transfer Format # * 2 ABCD ABCD = Destination extension number Example: Director (Ext.8118) can assign unconditional transfer to secretary(8119) when he is not in office. All the calls to director will be transferred to extension 8119. # Pick up 8118 * 2 8 1 1 9 Input # * 2 8119 Du Hang up * When use Key Telephone, can enter menu PROGRAM, then select Working State to do assignment. 3.14 Cancel Unconditional Transfer Format # * 2 00 * When use Key Telephone, can enter menu PROGRAM, then select Working State to do Clear. 3.15 Boss and Secretary Function Format # * 6 ABCD ABCD = Extension number of secretary Example: Director (Ext.8008) can assign all incoming calls are transfer to secretary(8012) first to avoid some unimportant calls. Suppose his password is 2589. # Pick up 8018 * 4 2 5 8 Input # * 4 2589 9 Du Hang up 3.21 Do Not Disturb Format # * 71 Description: Assign extension will not ring and send Busy Tone to the caller. But the assigned extension still can make calls. * After assign Do Not Disturb, any calls cannot dial in. * Do Not Disturb is valid before you cancel it. * Use Key Telephone to assign Do Not Disturb, when has external call on CO line,the Key Phone will not ring, but the external caller is listening echo ringing as normal(not hear Busy Tone), the external number will display on Key Phone. If you want to answer the incoming call, just need to lifts the handset. 3.22 Cancel Do Not Disturb Format # * 70 Example The user wants to cancel Do Not Disturb assignment. 45 Section 3 Operation 3.23 Broadcasting Format # * 8 Description Model HK,DK,VK allows to equip with amplifier to the Tone Output port in the Tone Board, the user can do broadcasting. Example: The manager inform the employees to have meeting at 15:00pm. # Pick up his extension * 8 Input # * 8 Broadcasting Hang up * Allow any extension to broadcasting by this format. * Refer below amplifier connection chart Amplifier Music AUX Input Port Amplifier Plug Digital Tone Board 46 Section 3 3.24 Operation Verify Extension Number And Port Number Format # * 9 Description: Allow to verify the extension number by Caller ID telephone. Example: The user wants to verify certain extension number and port number. # Pick up his extension * 9 Input # * 9 Du Hang up * The extension will ring after hang up, there are have seven digits showing in the monitor of Caller ID telephone. The three leading digits are extension port number, the last four digits are extension current number. * When the extension number less four digits, use 0 to make up before extension number, refer below chart: Three leading digits 017 = extension port number (It is No.17 extension) The last four digits 0088 = extension number is 88 * When use Key Telephone, there is displaying extension Port Number and its current number on screen, add 8 before extension port is original extension number. Example, port number is 001, current number is 1234, add 8 before 001, the original extension number is 8001. 47 Section 3 Operation 3.25 Connect Doorbell & Doorlock To PABX To meet the needs of our customers, two additional functions for option. * Door bell * Electronic controlled door lock * If a Door Bell is required it should be purchased separately. * Electronic Controlled Door Lock can be purchased from lock shop or electronics store. Input * 11 04# => Hear Beep => Input *12 04 8006 # => Input * 12 04 8007 # Note: Should pick up Ext.8001 and un-lock before programming. 3.27 Unlock The Door By Extension Format: Tap hookswitch + #4 Description: The assigned extension(s) will ring when visitor press doorbell, pick up any one of ringing extensions can answer doorbell call and open the door. Format: #4 Description: Unlock the door by any extension when nobody press doorbell. * Only TC-308AK has Door bell & Door lock function. * Should well connecting door bell first before turn on PABX power. 48 Section 3 Operation 3.28 Remote Program µ Ú ¶ þ Ê ® ¶ þ ½ Ú Ô ¶ ¶ Ë ± à ³ Ì Format Tap Hook-Switch + # * # * Description: Allowed program PABX in a strange place, it is a very practical, easy and high-efficiency maintenance way. Example: You are not familiar with some program, you can ask a help from dealer ( after service). Operating Procedures: 1. You pick up EXT 8001 to call Dealer; 2. After establish communication, tap the hook-switch of EXT8001, the dealer is under music on holding, you will hear internal dial tone; 3. Input format # * # * on your EXT8001; 4. Your EXT 8001 will auto-restore communicate with dealer; 5. Technician can program for your PABX by his telephone according to your desired functions; 6.A short Beep is indicates correct program, if instead of a long Beep is heard indicates wrong program, please re-progam 7. Please hang up your EXT8001after program. * Your extension should be connected with port 001. * When your EXT 8001 has been restricted to make external call, the dealer can make external call to you. At Auto-Attendant mode: Th dealer can call your Ext 8001 directly, after establish communication, dealer can start programming according to above procedures. At Operator-attendant mode: The call from dealer can be transferred to your Ext 8001, after establish communication, dealer can start remote programming according to above procedures. Not need to input Program Password when remote program, when you forget your program password, please ask a help from your dealer to restore program password.
