SAFETY AND GENERAL STANDARDS Before carrying out any maintenance work, ensure that you are working on a flat, compact surface, and carry out the following operations in the sequence given below: • Unhook any loads or attachments mounted on the machine. • Chock the wheels of the machine to prevent any accidental movement. • Apply the parking brake, put the gear lever and direction selector in neutral. • When carrying out operations that do not require the engine to be running, remove the ignition key and put it in a safe place. CAUTION!!! This procedure must be performed by qualified, competent personnel, with sufficiently detailed knowledge of the composition of the mechanical parts and the operation of the oleodynamic and electrical systems of the vehicle on which they are working. AIM OF INFORMATION The purpose of this technical information bulletin is to provide the instructions needed for the correct assembly of the 4 tonne towing hook kit for models P27.6 - P27.6PLUS - P27 6TOP. IMA 1656 - SAE MATERIAL REQUIRED Before proceeding with the assembly operations ensure that the material received from MERLO Spa corresponds to the information in the table below. Position the towing hook and tighten it with the specific screws, nuts and washers supplied with the kit. Tighten the screws very well since towing hooks are subject to many operating stresses. 3 IMA 1656 - SAE ATTACHMENT OPERATION After completing assembly operations, the application must be as shown in the photo below. It is used to tow loads of up to 4 tonnes. 4
