How Online Backup Works A backup system to suit your needs KeepItSafe design, install, and configure your backup system. Data are automatically compressed, encrypted, and securely transferred to KeepItSafe’s primary data centre. KeepItSafe only transmits data that have changed since the prior backup in a process called incremental backup, making backups lightning-fast. Each day data are automatically synchronized with the KeepItSafe data centre. Data are seamlessly and continuously mirrored to our secondary data centre. Lost data can be restored to your server with the click of a mouse. Deleted or older versions of files are still stored by KeepItSafe in a practice known as retention. The retention period is set by the user.
